Great restaurant. The servers were nice and apologized to us for taking a bit of time in bringing the menus. While we waited for our food, we were served two different appetizers, cheese bread and squash cream. The menu I ordered contained a delicious foie gras as an entrant and the main dish was beef. The beef was rare just like I ordered and served alongside a delicious eggplant. For the dessert, a delicious moelleux au chocolat with vanilla ice cream. We asked for a candle for my mom’s birthday and they wrote her a happy birthday message on her dessert which I found really sweet.

Took our guests there for dinner, for their last night in town. We wanted to try menu dégustation to try as many plates as possible among the 4 of us. But it was not easy with some of us couldn’t eat goat cheese, some didn’t like certain thing the waitress was kind to recommend us to take “menu coq rouge” x4, which allowed us to try basically all dishes anyway, with no fuss. We left with great satisfaction.

Some customers brought two dogs and it wasn’t like trained dogs so I couldn’t believe what I saw. haha

Always a pleasure to dine at le coq rouge. I was never disappointed in many visits during the last years. Take your time for a menu because the Entrées and cheese selection is excellent.

I only had a couple of hours to spare while in Geneva so I found this restaurant online and took an Uber into France. Le Coq Rouge did not disappoint.
After making a quickly responded to reservation on their website prior to coming in, upon arrival we were seated by the very friendly business owner. From start to finish, the food was amazing as was the service. The wine we selected, a pinot noir from the region, was delightful.
