I confess, we went there with real concerns regarding the place after reading the reviews, but as it was situated right in front of our flat, we said, let’s give it a chance. And we didn’t regret at all. The sitting was perfect, right onto the roofed deck with the best views to the canal, the traditional food was amazingly delicious (the bone marrow was a bliss!), the service was excellent, very friendly and kind, they didn’t rush us at all, we had a decent Riesling wine. The quality – price balance was very good.
At the end we reached a conclusion: the restaurant is placed in an extremely touristy area and probably sometimes the clients are annoyed by expecting to be treated like royalties in a very traditional, unpretentious restaurant, which of course is not happening. This type of frustrated clients lead the stuff to get grumpy and probably treat everyone badly. I think going there with a smile on your faces and be polite and understanding with the hard work of the stuff is the be way to receive a friendly service in return. This is how we did and it was a fantastic experience. Thank you.

We ordered a cordon bleu and the chicken in puff pastry with mushroom sauce. The cordon bleu was dry and bland. We did without the gravy (which you would to pay for btw) so that the batter could be crisp when we ate it, but it was not crisp but stale, the meat was so dry you could see almost sawdust-like fraying when you cut. I think if you can’t get this right, you shouldn’t put it on your menu. The other dish was more edible, but I think I know many homechefs who would do a much better job. Service was arrogant, waitress wore a smirk when taking orders. And you are forced to order one main per pax. I would not recommend anyone to come here, even if all the other restaurants were full. Just grab a baguette from a bakery and make a sandwich for yourself.

First of all the location was good but unfortunately too much umbrellas blocking the view we supposed to see. What a pity.
I have one star for the unprofessional service. We wanted to order the desserts but after the waitress brought the menu, she never come back to take the order. We have been waiting for 30 mins then we decided to have no coffee and no desserts after the dinner.
The food was ok

Walked into an empty place. Spoke my best broken French as always to make an effort. Asked them table for 2. Host/guy started to seat us. I asked to make sure, “ok for drinks and dessert?” Host/guy said “No. Eat full meal only. Go out. Go to bar down there.” And point down the road. What in the world. You just lost maybe 30-50 euros. But ok your choice. Don’t go here. Rude service.

You must have a reservation—no exceptions. If you don’t, look elsewhere. They are very strict about this.
Once we were seated and ordered, the food arrived in about two minutes. I honestly don’t know how it could have been prepared that quickly—it clearly seemed pre-made. The food was decent, but nothing special.
We ordered the small raw beef tartare, which was enormous. I could only eat about half of it, and even that was a struggle. There was very little seasoning, so it was essentially just a large portion of plain raw beef. I’m not sure how anyone is expected to eat that much at once.
We also tried the pork cordon bleu, which was tough. After trying pork versions at multiple restaurants and being disappointed, I think cordon bleu is better left to chicken.
Overall, it wasn’t for me, and I wouldn’t return.

Sadly, the weather was too cold, because I would have loved to have sat on their terrace. The atmosphere inside I found slightly lacking, but the food was good, especially the meats that came with the choucroute. The menu offers good choices.

Amazing location if you get outdoor seating on the little river. I tried the breaded chicken sandwich and substituted vegetables for potatoes. Tried to make it slightly healthy. The bun was bright read and breading on chicken pretty tasty. Very friendly service and central location.
It was easy to get a seat in the weekend.

We arrived without a reservation and they gave us a table after about 5 minutes. We ordered a fois gras starter that was delicious! The main dishes were also very tasty and above all well served!! They didn’t have many dessert options, and I ordered something similar to an apple pie that was delicious. I recommend going!! The only thing I didn’t like was that the waiters took a long time to serve you and the proximity between all the tables.
