There is a really good Christmas buffet: truffle omelette, fois gras, beef tataki and carpaccio.
Good quality, good food, always full of all dishes.
Eat well! Highly recommend.
They also provide many varieties of cakes and sweet : tiramisu, cream caramel, etc.
It was a bit pity, that they served steak 1hour after the buffet started and I had diarrhea in the afternoon….

My bride and I had a wonderful dinner here while on a trip exploring Christmas markets.
The food was awesome, although the steaks we ordered medium rare were closer to rare (still delicious though). This is actually something we have experienced across Europe in many many restaurants. It doesn’t really bother us, but I only mention it as a heads-up to others who may want to order their steaks medium, if they are used to the more American style of medium rare.
The service was great up until we were trying to pay- it took forever to track down our host and actually get the check. It’s a minor annoyance that would certainly not preclude us from going back or recommending it to others.
We plan to visit the city in the summer in the future and will certainly be back.

We are visiting from Australia and don’t speak French, Alexandre’s service was top notch – he made sure we were comfortable with the menu and explained everything well, he was also very knowledgeable and friendly. To top it off the food was excellent. 5 star experience all round!

Terrible service. We had a reservation at 20:15 and at 22:00 we were still waiting for the main dishes. Food was ok, nothing to remember. We waited for a martini 35 minutes and for 3 beers 20 minutes. I told the staff after 20 minutes that they did not bring the martini and they took another 15 minutes to bring it.

Unfortunately, the steak was very tough. The waiter was very friendly initially, but when it came to payment, he preferred to chat to our neighbours than be attentive. I guess he didn’t want any tip, and we obliged. The chairs were uncomfortable. It also took a very long time to get given the menu, then another long wait until we could order, and another long wait for the food to come. And of course to be able to pay. Overall, the restaurant sets very high standards but didn’t meet them in our case.

It was a great pleasure to take dinner in this restaurant . I booked a table for 2 persons , but the restaurant is able to provide tables even for groups. The food is delicious and varied. I liked the atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and implicated. They helped my fiance to prepare a surprize for my birthday and they were kind and made a memorable moment. Thank you for the experience!

La Cannibale is a must in Strasbourg. We had Wagyu from Spain and Simmental from Austria, both dry aged with incredible depth of flavour. Starters of Jamón de Bellota and aged beef from northern Spain were excellent.
The wine list is impressive, and there’s also a superb rum selection. Staff were attentive and very helpful, even for non-French speakers. Dessert was spot on, especially the crème brûlée.
A top place for serious meat lovers.
