The post office worker recommended this café to me for breakfast and I’ll say it was Delightful. Steak, eggs, potatoes, coffee, gravy, and biscuits All for 15 bucks. Way to be competitive. I was able to work on my computer. It was a nice quiet environment. Thank you

I am a senior citizen and I went in for the meal there was 10 minutes left & the waitress said it was too late they were out of good. Then another worker said that they still had some. So she came & took my order. She also asked if I was signed up which I thought she meant for the program and I said yes. Then another male customer came in & she gave him the choice of what he wanted. I have told a bunch of people about how good the food is and sent them there also.. The other woman brought over the sign in sheet & asked me to pay which I did gladly. After I finished my meal I went up to the 1st waitress and apologized for misunderstanding about the sign up sheet. She said did you do it & pay & I said yes. Then before I could say anything else she said then we are good. I didn’t feel good because of the fact that she gave the other guy the choice of what he wanted and told me they were out of the meals. I won’t be sending anyone else to them anymore because of the fact that was unfair and she didn’t even acknowledge it! I always tip also but she didn’t get one today. We should all be treated the same weather you know us or not!!!! I had also drove from Herrin to go there too. I won’t be coming back anytime soon anymore! Not without an apology!

My neighbor took me there for a quick drop-in. I was introduced to the owners and staff, and everyone was so charming that first day I had chill and fries and a grill cheese sandwich it was awesome. I took home a piece of the million dollar pie it was to die, for I don’t find this food in New york I was back there on Sunday, and it was another awesome experience fried chicken yum. Thanks, Anderson Cafe it was fun being there.

If you’re looking for a cheap, hole-in-the-wall spot for no-frills breakfast, this is it. The food is simple and delicious, especially the biscuits and gravy! Our server was sweet and she kept my coffee cup filled.

A local gas station attendant recommended this cafe as we passed through town and asked if McDonald’s had indoor seating.
Boy are we glad we took her word for it! Great, down home country breakfast that reminded me of my late mother’s cooking!
Very friendly and welcoming staff for these out of towners! If we ever come back through we will definitely stop in again!
We could have even had a meet & greet with the mayor and had pie if we had more time!
Small town business at its best!

The service was outstanding, the food was delicious. They were very busy when we arrived, they still got to us promptly. Only waited about 15 minutes for our order. I had the Pollock with fries and coleslaw. The slaw is a vinegar base just like my grandmother use to make, delicious..The order came with hush puppies.
A hidden gem we just recently found out about. They will definitely be seeing more of us.
We have had breakfast there also, I did not get any photos. The biscuits and gravy are amazing.

The service was great. The food was okay, just your basic breakfast food. The building was awesome with a lot of original charm. So much to look at and enjoy.

Great food, service and atmosphere! Found this cafe on route back to Chicago off of Route 57. Love the old cafe decor with modern features. Bathrooms are clean!

This little gem in the historic township highschool building was well worth the drive. The aesthetics were pleasing and they even had pictures on the walls of the graduating classes from the old high school, along with a model of the old firehouse. We were greeted by friendly staff, who continued to make us feel welcome and explained the menu. The prices were unbelievably inexpensive, but the quality of the food was outstanding. I got the big boy breakfast with a side of bacon and my wife had french toast. I would definitely recommend checking this place out. Very friendly people.
