Food here was very good and it is a cute place. Seemed owner/chef was missing staff when we went as he had to do everything and was only worker there. The vegetable omelette was great and son loved his French toast. The bread basket is also very good. I also love the French 75 drink!

We had a Memorial buffet luncheon here for about 40 people. The food was plentiful and excellant. The restaurant is warm and inviting. This is a special place to have an intimate occasion. We had the entire restaurant. Would highly recommend.

This was my first time trying French food in my life. The place was empty when I arrived it was 8:00 PM, and the restaurant closes at 10:00 PM. I thought people around this area are very healthy to the point that they don’t eat dinner after 8. The service was great and the place was clean but the food was terrible.I ordered fried calamari, seafood pasta and another order from restaurants week which was 3 courses chilled crab soup, main course was lamb chops and chocolate cake for dessert. The fried calamari was very good, the seafood pasta was very good too except the muscles in the pasta were tasting old and tastes like water tank I think it was very old. The chilled soup was disgusting and the lamb was tasteless. The bill came and it was $95 , it was way too expensive for the food that we received and the portions were not that big. Except the pasta was filled with seafood I have to give them a credit for that. After I finished dinner I found out why the place was empty. Never again.

Best dining in Baltimore, MD. What an incredible experience at the Bistro du Village! The food was succulent and the service excellent.
We were a party of four and we started with only two “soupes de poisson” enjoying them between couples with some french bread. Then we shifted to the Chef’s crafted entrees: “Entrecote Rib Eye”, “Pave de Saumon”, “Truite Meuniere”, and finally “Merguez Frites” with an additional order of frites (see pictures). All were accompanied by Orangina sodas and perrier water. The food was exceptionally delicious to a point where we cleaned the plates (see pictures). We finally ended our meal with a couple of shared crepes a la nutella et bananes . Thank you Mustapha for your generosity and lovely atmosphere.

This place is a hidden gem. The food is incredible and the prices are reasonable for the quality. For our appetizer, we ordered the escargot. While the presentation left a bit to be desired, the food itself was very good. The bread that comes with it was perfect.
For our entrees, we got the Duck Confit and the Crêpe Toulousaine and both were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to go back.

I was thrilled to return to this restaurant after a long hiatus, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. Several items, including the onion soup, were unavailable for dinner service. The restaurant was eerily quiet, with only my party for company. The lights were dimmed, and the only sound was the microwave in the back. Considering the price, I had hoped for the exceptional food and service I remembered, but unfortunately, the standards have significantly declined since my last visit. I wish I could say differently, but this honestly captures my experience from last Saturday evening.

We arrived to find the restaurant completely empty — which, in hindsight, should have been the first red flag. The menus were dirty and sticky, setting the tone for what was to come.
The food itself was deeply disappointing. Nothing tasted fresh, and the quality was poor across the board. The Béarnaise sauce was clearly not homemade; it came straight out of a bottle, lacking any of the richness or flavor you’d expect from a French kitchen.
Service didn’t redeem the experience either. The atmosphere felt lifeless, and as we were leaving, we even saw the man from the restaurant heading across the street to eat at another place. That said it all.
We won’t be returning — and judging from our visit, we can’t recommend it to anyone looking for a true French dining experience.
