The best place for fine dining in Bergerac. Book in advance for the best experience. This is not fast food but the best quality French food you could experience in Bergerac the chef and waitress are top notch. This our second time here and now our place to go when in Bergerac.

Very tasty food, the good selection of options, very friendly personal. The bistro is working also on Sunday so it made our day 🙂 nice impression! Strongly recommend for a lunch or a dinner! Also you can see the photos of the dishes on the tablet, practical experience.

Busy bistro that lives up to the hype.
Had a light lunch here, but almost didn’t. A couple + child were turned away before us because ”they’re full” but somehow when I asked a moment later a table for two was free after a bit of gallic shrugging. Probably better to come earpy or book a table, this place is very popular.
To start we shared snails cooked in camembert. The snails were delicious and meaty and paired well with the cheese. 8/10
For main I picked the scallops and foie gras. Scallops were good but not spectacular. Foie gras on the other hand was divine. The accompanying purées and sauces wrre lovely. 9/10.
Wife ordered the beef and hasselback potatoes. Hilariously she asked for it “well-done” and the waiter just said “no”, left a good 5 second pause for it to sink in and said it would ruin the dish. She negotiated for “80%” and still squirmed at the ever so slightly pink center. It was a beautiful cut of beef though, great crust (to be expected, really) and paired with delicious sauces and the potatoes were also excellent and crunchy. 8/10
Service was a bit slow, as expected they were quite busy and he did give us the shrug off, I mean yeah you can have a table but you might be waiting… we didn’t mind, the food was worth it. Waiter also speaks pretty good english too, which helped a lot.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. All of our food was delicious; customer service attentive not rushed or too slow. We laughed, we practiced our French and the waitress spoke brilliant English. Would recommend Merci beaucoup pour creer des souvenirs

We stopped here for lunch on Wednesday afternoon. Being a ex chef am hard to please but I would say it was the best meal we have had in france this year. My French is somewhat lacking my wife’s not so much but the Waitress. Was kind and helpful she took the time to let me order in france and picked me one of the most delicious Rose’s wines I’ve had. The la boeuf tartare was excellent . Definitely would highly recommend.

One of the best lunches we have ever had. The duck breast main in particular was amazing, great setting sat outside in the sun.

Great find while strolling through the city’s streets. Excellent food: foie gras, outstanding duck leg cooked to perfection. The owners are incredibly kind. Top top top!

We enjoyed the food here. The steak was one of the best I’ve ever had. It was so soft and the sauce was delicious . We did wait for ages in-between courses, but apparently, that is common in France as dining out is a social occasion. Not like us Brits who eat and go. We enjoyed the food. My neice wasn’t sure on the Pig trotters, but I think it was due to her never having them before.

Stop reading reviews and just go here! We ate here last night and it was amazing. We had a 3 course set menu for 34 euro each with drinks and wine the total bill came to around 100 euro and was worth every penny. I had lamb and my partner had beef and both were melt in the mouth, I tried escargot for the first time and I’m a fan.
