Lazzarro’s Italian Bistro in Palmyra, PA is one of our favorite local spots for authentic Italian food and gluten-free dining. They can make about 90% of their menu gluten-free, which is a huge plus for anyone with dietary restrictions who still wants classic Italian dishes. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service is excellent, and the food is always delicious. We love supporting this local Palmyra restaurant and visit as often as we can — highly recommend for anyone looking for great Italian cuisine in Central PA.

My mother’s wedding reception was held here and everything was done as she wanted. Waitress was beyond good with take my care of our party of 20 by herself. The food was excellent!

The restaurant was very pleasant and my food was good. I had chicken parm. A little on the pricey side. Service was good. The problem comes with my wife’s dinner. She loves scallops. She saw that they had LARGE sea scallops on the menu, so she ordered them. She was looking forward to her dinner coming out. When it arrived, what a disappointment. They were the smallest scallops that we have ever seen. The worst part was they charged $26 for them. We don’t like to make a scene, so we did not say anything about it. As I think about, we should have said something while we were there. I would be embarrassed as a restaurant owner to serve such small scallops and very few of them may I add and then charge $26. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

My husband and I had an excellent experience at Lazzaro’s. We were greeted by a pleasant hostess and seated in a warm and relaxing main room. ( Note: I did not notice any booths, only tables with chairs or bench seating.) The bread with dipping oil was delicious, as well as the house dressing for our salads. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi and my husband had the Veal Parmesan. Both were absolutely yummy! The portions were large enough that we both took half home for lunch the next day. My husband noted that he did not get the reflux that he normally has after eating tomato sauce. Our waitress was very personable, attentive and accommodating. I was able to substitute a thin spaghetti for the linguini. It was a lovely night out and we can’t wait to return.
One other note, the parking is in the rear but limited.

Came here for our anniversary, and I can honestly say it was the first time in a long while that everything we ordered was fresh and amazingly delicious! Excellent service and friendly staff! Our server Hannah was socialable and attentive! And Veronica, the owner’s daughter, stopped over to chat with us as well! Our first time here and we were treated like family, Italian style! We recently moved to the area, and I’m pretty sure we found our new “go-to!” Thank you, Hannah and Veronica for making us feel right at home!

Waitress Veronica was amazing. Service was phenomenal. Wasn’t too fond of the bread. Aside from that everything was amazing. I ordered dessert, but haven’t eaten it yet. I took it to go. Definitely will go back. The only negative I can think of right now….. is if you have a bad back don’t sit by the wall. It’s pure brick. Surprisingly there’s no cushions for your back.

Everything was perfect. Food service atmosphere were all great. We walked with a party of four. Friday night at 7pm. We’re seated immediately at a clean table and even the seats had been wiped. Apps came fast, food came later. Everything was hot and on time and desert is crazy good. It was perfect!!!

First time visit was in the area and taking with friends. I first noticed as I was walking along outside and I smelled the food cooking and immediately caught my attention. Stopped in for a couple of appetizers and got the pretzel and the bruschetta. Both were delicious. We will plan our next visit to include dinner. Marissa was great.

Ok so this is one of the best places I have ate. The risotto anyway you get it is absolutely out of this world. Pizza is great right from a traditional to a seafood any kind I’ve tried multiples. Lobster ravioli is my go to, but as you can see, we have all tried a variety of foods and also to take home. The wine is great. We have made special trips to drive two hours just to stop in to go and eat at Lazzaro’s. Definitely worth it if you’re in the area or if you want to make an out-of-town trip. Every time I’ve gone, the service has been absolutely great.

We recently hosted a rehearsal dinner for 50 people at Lazzaro’s, and everything was wonderful! The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. They were incredibly accommodating with our requests and made the entire evening feel relaxed and special. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend this restaurant for any special event.
