Came here fresh off our flight with a pretty large group, and they were able to seat us right away. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable. Service was great—attentive and friendly, especially considering how busy they were. I got the bison burger with Cajun fries, and it hit the spot. The bacon jam added a nice touch of sweetness to the burger, and the fries were perfectly crispy, just how I like them. Overall, a solid spot to grab a bite to eat.

We finally made it to Lazy Dog after talking about going for so long. The challenge is, there are so many other good familiar restaurants in this plaza like Benihana, BJ’s CA Fish Grill or Armadillo Willie’s. The restaurant was full at 7:30pm with a wait of 30 minutes for a table of 3. The menu is extensive. We had two items from their $15 menu which includes an entree and a brownie ice cream. Those tasted OK, a bacon cheeseburger and 1/2 fried chicken dinner. The fish and chips $24 had generous pieces of fish. The nachos with carnitas $18.50 was also OK. The food came out fairly quickly for a busy kitchen. Our waitress checked on us often. Overall, great job everyone at Lazy Dog. It was a fun and lively meal with TV’s all around to watch some Friday night hockey.

Dish reviewed: BBQ Bison Meatloaf
Drinks: Pomegranate Sour Fauxtini, Cold Brew Carajillo, Strawberry Jalapeño Mockarita

From the very first visual impression, the BBQ Bison Meatloaf was deeply disappointing. The presentation lacked any culinary intention what arrived at the table was shapeless, unstructured, and visually unappealing. The bison itself had an off-putting texture and an unpleasant flavor that overshadowed the entire dish.

The side dishes failed to redeem the plate. The spinach was severely overcooked, reduced to a lifeless, watery mass with no remaining identity or freshness. The only element that worked was the mashed potatoes, which were smooth, properly seasoned, and comforting. The added French fries were also acceptable crispy and well-fried but the onion rings were greasy, heavy, and frankly inedible.

As for the mocktails, the experience was equally underwhelming:
• The Pomegranate Sour Fauxtini was the only drink that was remotely enjoyable.
• The Cold Brew Carajillo tasted diluted and forgettable.
• The worst of all was the Strawberry Jalapeño Mockarita, which was aggressively unbalanced, watery, and unpleasant, with the jalapeño completely overpowering the drink in the worst possible way.

This was not simply a flawed dish it was a failure in execution, balance, and respect for ingredients. The bison, which should be the star, was mishandled beyond recovery.

This dish does not meet even meet solid casual dining standards.

Very mediocre place, server was nice but food was VERY mediocre. There were some dogs barking which ruined the atmosphere. I ordered the French onion puff pastry appetizer and the burger, which the puff pastry appetizer was better than the burger itself. They gave me normal fries when I asked for Cajun fries, which was disappointing, but they at least handled it well. I ordered the strawberry drink which was okay, but could have been better. Overall, not sure if I want to come back.

We didn’t expect much from this chain restaurant, so the sea bass turned out to be a big surprise. It’s tastier than the one at our favorite Italian restaurant. It demonstrated a high level of competence. Other dishes were ok.

Pot roast tender, blue cheese burger great

The chips were kinda salty but there were so many interesting appetizers. I want to try the French Onion pastry puff next time

Nice outdoor area, love that they’re donating to Habitat for humanity with gingerbread houses

I’ve been to this Lazy Dog location multiple times, but after my most recent visit, I won’t be returning.

When I first sat down at the bar, I was handed a menu where every page was stuck together with something sticky. I ordered a Cosmopolitan and the Campfire Pot Roast from the bartender. While waiting for my late lunch, I sipped on my drink, which was fine, but when my meal finally arrived, it was a huge disappointment.

The bartender told me to be careful because the dish would be warm to the touch. That would have been fine, except the food itself was lukewarm. I’ve ordered this dish many times, and I know what it should taste and feel like. This time, the camp FIRE was nonexistent, it seemed as if it had been cooked on embers and served half-cold. The entire meal was terrible because of it.

What made things worse was the lack of service. The bartender who served me never once came back to check if everything was okay not even when my Cosmopolitan was empty. No offer of a second drink, no “How’s everything tasting?” nothing. The only reason I was able to pay and leave was because another bartender came on shift, and I asked her for my check.

One bad service experience can erase all the good ones before it. Unfortunately, that’s what happened here. Sticky menus, a lukewarm meal, and inattentive service have ruined Lazy Dog for me, despite many prior visits.

Love the lemon pepper tater tots (not in the pic) and PB&J Burger with umami fries. Tots are perfectly crisp on the outside but still soft and potato-y on the inside

Worst fried sandwich I’ve ever had cold as hell. More bread crumbs than chicken. No seasoning at fries. Chick-fil-A or Macdonald s at least has some care for their customer and their food quality horrible. I’m not sure why Google shows this place as recommended spot.
