Laycoff’s Grill – Waiter on the Way
Located in Fort Wayne, Laycoff’s Tavern is a local favorite with a long history of serving up good tavern food, great service, and cold beer.

Always a great sign when walking in for lunch and place is busy. Hadn’t been in here since late 90’s, getting grub before a Komet game. This visit did not disappoint. Ordered the double smash burger which was flavorful and juicy. Love the vintage bar back. Highly recommend and I will be back!

I hit this place up as I was getting ready to leave Fort Wayne. I searched for grinders in the area and their named came up a few times.
I ordered a chicken grinder with some additions. But when I was looking over the menu I saw they had a breaded hamburger. It intrigued me so I snagged one of those too.
Very tasty on both accounts. The grinder was flavorful and the bread perfect. The hamburger was interesting, being batter dipped and fried but it worked well, especially for something that unique.
Worth stopping by, that’s for sure. Good menu, great service.

Even when packed the service was fast. The food was so cheap I thought it was gonna be small portions but I was dead wrong, it was filling and a great amount concerning price. Drinks were good, and atmosphere is like a good small sports bar

A classic. Always good! I have been getting the Mexican roll. Excellent! The salad is really good too. Service is good and the staff is friendly! Usually the food comes out pretty quickly as well.

Finally! An old bar that checks all the boxes. This place has been around forever, but in all my years of driving by I never stopped. Today I called my daughter and told her it was wings & beer night with her dad and said, “We’re going to Laycoff’s.” Excellent choice if I do say so myself. Outstanding service! Great food! Ice cold beer…ice cold! The wings were bigger than normal and well sauced. Mine were wet and my daughter’s were finished on the grill. Absolutely delicious! Loved the skinny shoe string fries and breaded mushrooms. May have been my first trip there in 57 years, but it won’t be my last. Don’t expect anything fancy, but do expect “The place you’ve always hoped for!”

A nice little tavern/ pub that’s cozy and welcoming. Has been a staple in Fort Wayne for years. Stopped in for the famous sausage roll and wasn’t disappointed, very large servings, piping hot and tasty. The staff are also very friendly and the place is well kept. Definitely recommend a visit here for anyone who hasn’t been.

Best Sausage Rolls and Pizza. Haven’t been at this place for 20+ years and it hasn’t changed one bit. It was like deja’vu walking inside, bringing back fond memories. Thanks for keeping it original to what was some great times and eats.
