Got the c.5 which is an Italian hero it was absolutely delicious. Stuffed full of meat and fairly priced. Everyone was working hard in there from the lady’s upfront to the cooks in the back. They had a decent line that they made light work of. Will definitely stop here again when im in the area.

The food is absolutely delicious. They have an assortment of bagels and spreads, and also wonderful sandwiches. The areas were clean and there were a variety of seating options. My favorite is the hash browns here. The young gentleman with skinny legs and a small body, named Gabe, was the most delightful. Wonderful shop!!

I had a terrible experience here. I ordered a chicken tender and a chicken bacon sandwich (H3), just these two items took 30+ minutes of waiting while the ones who ordered after me all got their orders before me. I suspected the chicken tenders were taking long probably because it’s not a popular item so I just waited patiently there. After seeing more and more people getting their orders before me, I decided to stand closer to the counter to remind them that I am still waiting on mine. After super long wait I finally got mine and I was in a rush to leave so I grabbed the bag and left. After I got home I opened the food they looked terrible. Chicken tender was all burned and tasted stale, the oil they used also smelled stale. I also expected they would come in bigger pieces and not little pieces. The sandwich also tasted very bland, the grilled chicken tasted rubbery and chewy. In the end I had to throw both items out since my kids didn’t like either one of them. So I wasted 45 minutes and money for this. Very disappointed.

Stopped in for lunch can say this was a great decision.

I ordered the 11th ave off the menu which did not disappoint! The wrap was freshly made and was portioned perfectly. Never would have thought zucchini fries inside of a breakfast burrito would be a hit!!!!

Will be back!

Great little sandwich/breakfast spot! The build your own omelette is a great deal; only wish they had a list of ingredients to pick from- would definitely make the process easier! The wrap was incredibly fresh and very filling! Coffee bar was nice, could have used more milk options

I have to say, this place is top notch. Im a business owner, one that runs a fairly tight operation , therefore i cant help but to be analytical of not only businesses that I operate with but places that I frequent in my leisure. The place was clean, very well displayed, organized, the snack selection was fantastic, the hospitality and customer service was excellent, and the food was very impressive! I also had a nice conversation with the owner , she was one of the nicest and most humble young business owners ive had the privilege of speaking with! Great time! Looking forward To my Next lunch there!!

EDIT: I need to correct an important point, because the business has replied with an inaccurate series of events. While one of my visits was early on, my most recent visit was only a few months ago, not two years ago. Grouping both experiences together as though they occurred solely during your early days is not accurate and minimizes recent issues I experienced.

Because the timeline is being reframed this way, I also want to be transparent about something I previously chose not to mention publicly. During my first visit, I noticed mold on cream cheese blocks that were on display. I flagged it to an employee immediately, and it was replaced, but the fact that it was on display at all is unacceptable under any circumstance. At the time, I chose not to raise this further because I understand new businesses experience growing pains and I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt.

However, since the shop is dismissing my feedback as coming from “so long ago” makes that omission relevant, particularly when a more recent visit is being treated as part of that same early period.

Between the food quality concerns, extended wait times, and what I observed, I am not interested in returning. I believe feedback should be addressed honestly, especially when timelines are being referenced to contextualize customer experiences.

OG Post:

I don’t usually leave negative reviews for local businesses, but after two visits, this experience is worth sharing.

Our first visit was shortly after the shop opened. We ordered two sandwiches and were told the wait would be 30 minutes. We stepped out briefly, but when we returned, we were told it would be another 30 minutes with no explanation.

We ended up waiting about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The staff did provide gift cards as an apology for the delay, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, the sandwiches themselves were very disappointing. One was bland and lacked flavor, while the other was overwhelmed with sauce. Neither was enjoyable.

Flash forward a couple of years and we decided to give the shop another chance, assuming the first visit was due to growing pains. Sadly, the second visit was worse. Despite the shop being nearly empty, we waited around 45 minutes. The bread was stale, the cheese was not what was listed on the menu, and the overall quality was poor.

Between the excessive wait times, food quality issues, and operational concerns, this place needs significant improvement.

I’ve been a loyal customer at Lawrenceville Sandwich Shop since the day they opened their doors, and it’s honestly wild how they’ve managed to keep raising the bar. The food is consistently fantastic, every sandwich I’ve tasted has its own personality, and not once have I been disappointed. There’s something about their bread that’s just perfect, and the ingredients always seem fresh, no matter what I order.
But what really sets this place apart is the way they treat their customers. Keith and Jimmy are in a league of their own when it comes to hospitality, genuine, friendly, and always ready with a recommendation or a quick chat if you want it. The rest of the staff is just as kind, going out of their way to make sure everyone feels at home, whether you’re a regular or just stopping by for the first time.
I’ve sat down for a leisurely lunch, and I’ve also rushed in to grab a sandwich to go, and every single time, the experience has been seamless. Even when they’re busy, you never feel like you’re just another order in line. If I could give them more than five stars, I absolutely would, places like this are rare, and I’m genuinely grateful to have them in the neighborhood.
