Great local downtown bar that has plenty of seating – on the street, outside back and inside with 39 beer/cider choices on the menu. Some beers are better than others, so recommend starting with the beer flight then taking a full glass of what tastes best. The vibe is awesome and the guys/gals behind the counter are super helpful. We had such a great late afternoon here after a long and busy day. The most memorable part of our visit is the super friendly service. I am not a beer expert, and our server helped me select a tasting of four very different beers, which really helped me understand more about my beer preferences. There are lots of beers on tap and plenty of comfortable places to sit, inside and outside. The snack options are quite limited though, so heads up if you are hungry when you visit. We had a dull cheese tray, chips, and pretzels.

Fine tap house. You can get 8 or 16oz but they charge an extra .50 for the half pint which I think is silly. Would love for it to be an even $4.00 for us light weights.

You know this place was incredibly busy due to the midnight sun festival and they did a pretty good job of kicking orders out and had great pours. They have a really cool scene and I really enjoyed my time there. Their online menu matches their wall menu and they ask you order by number to help facilitate speedy service. It’s pretty simple once you know that is what they want. They have a great selection of beers from all over the place, with some good Alaska ones too.
I’d give this place 5 stars if wasn’t for one the staff, they broke glasses like 5 times and someone made a joke of it and they threatened to kick them out or cut them off. I get they were busy, but when you break glasses like 5 times, you’ve earned some razzing. Well lots of razzing. You broke the glasses, not anyone else.

Lavelle’s Taphouse has been my go-to place to go to have a beer or two after work in downtown Fairbanks for years. Excellent selection of a large number of brews and excellent customer service. And the atmosphere and decor was great from the beginning. However, recently people have been bring dogs into Lavelle’s Taphouse and the staff looks the other way. It severely harms the atmosphere. It’s not a dog park. Loyal patrons such as myself should not have to navigate a pack of dogs in an otherwise fine drinking establishment such as Lavelle’s Taphouse. This recent development is not good for business.

The only food we had was the liquid kind, and that was perfect. Phenomenal beer bar, they have something for every palate and even better prices. Great service from the bar staff too, I’ll definitely come back if I’m ever in Fairbanks again

Great beer selection, bartender, Carey is a true craftsman, meticulous with glassware, on pours of beer, and very knowledgeable. Beer menu was electronic, had beer info, had name and Brewer listed, IBU & ABW info, also show how much left in keg. Slick setup.
