The most underrated restaurant in beirut, Hamra(no doubt) and arguably in Lebanon. From the quality, to service to the cool atmosphere… every time i visit Beirut, this is definitely on my to do list.
Note: I dunno how to take good pictures of food and most plates were done before having the chance

Excellent corner in Beirut. It is on a second floor, so it is not easily found. But I found it online for being a French Bistro and we loved it.

We ordered a few things to share and they were outstanding:
The wine was recently opened and it had a good taste plus good quality too.

The French onion soup was thick and I believe the broth was prepared from lamb and not from beef. Not my thing but my husband enjoyed it a lot.

The mushroom risotto was rich, and well cooked. The texture of the sauce was creamy and the chicken was cut in good size pieces. I appreciate that as I do not like big pieces of food on my dish.

The mint lemonade was good and not too sweet as much places do.

And the chicken liver were soft and yummy. I do not think they had that awkward liver flavor that characterizes the liver.

In all, I loved it.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this restaurant. The staff were highly professional, guiding us through the menu and making sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious, with each dish carefully prepared and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was comfortable and elegant, which made our evening very enjoyable. This is a place I will happily recommend to others.

The most romantic place to have a tasty dinner.

This place used to be a house, and you can feel this authentic taste of the owners, with its interior, design, vibes, music and the home wine “Warde”.

The dinner was superb, with the help of the gentle waiter, we had the potato soup where it’s taste was surprisingly undescribable! As entrées, we had the amazing plateau de fromage, and the boeuf paêlè, for the salads we had the chèvre Aux Baies.
For the main we had chicken breast with herbs marinated in red wine.

Enjoy the pictures, feel the taste and the vibe, make sure to visit when you’re in Beirut, Hamra.

L’Autre bistro is an absolute gem! It has become one of my favorite restaurants in Beirut for the past few years. The food is excellent. The service is perfect. And the risotto with duck confit is a must-try.

Food is terrible. Owner is worse.
No respect at all to the customers. Even the waiters are more respecting than the owner herself.
I bet the food is rotten and not fresh because there’s anyone who barely visits. Not a place to invite your friends to be proud of, you will be be-Littled by the management.

Pasta is not fresh. Chicken is dry. Overall worst place and food you will eat.

The wine was great, all local lebonese wines. The menu is a mix of Italian and French and the ingredients are decent. I thought it lacked some finesse overall. the bread was microwaved, the pasta was clumped, and the steak was under cooked. It was slightly expensive, but not unreasonable.

The place has a mesmerising ambience and a super friendly staff. I ordered the fillet au poivre and french onion soup, and both were unbelievably good. A solid 10/10!!
