I was really looking forward to trying this place, but unfortunately, it ended up being a letdown. The shawarma was actually quite good—I’d give it an 8/10. It was well-prepared, and the sauce was really nice.

However, the experience went downhill with the sweet potato fries, which were badly burnt. I asked for a fresh batch, and the person serving me said he’d bring one out—but never did. After waiting 15–20 minutes, I went to check, and he quickly ran to the back to avoid me. I could clearly see that he had never even tried to fry a new batch.

At the very least, I expected a refund, but that never happened. I ended up wasting money on food I couldn’t eat. I won’t be going back—Prime Grill in Laurel is much better.

Love this place. Walk in the door and immediately to the right is Lawd Shawarma! A wonderfully warm meal of fish & eggs with vegan bread and Christmas-spiced Sorrel / Hibiscus drink. No matter what they call the next respiratory illness, no matter if you need to starve a flu or feed a cold. Problem solved for me. Lawd! I thank you.

Overpriced. Got the chicken shawarma wrap, but it barely had any chicken in it. Flavors were ok, but not worth $10. It was mostly bread with little pieces of cabbage and about 30 grams of chicken (which is a generous estimation). The service is
friendly, but the wrap took 15 minutes to prepare. Atmosphere was a vibe, but because it’s in a food hall.

My husband said it best when he described the portion size as insulting. The size of the shawarma was the width of three fingers and the length of about 6 inches. We used doordash so each one was close to $15. I wouldn’t have expected to pay more than $3 for what we received. It was so disappointing because the flavors are spot on.

Sometimes the best meals can be found in an industrial park in Beltsville. I also learned that this restaurant offers a Nigerian twist on shawarma. This meal consisted of the mouthwatering supreme shawarma with a side of fried sweet potatoes. I got a container of the 1981 sauce for when I have a future need for tangy sauce with a nice, mild heat. The staff was very friendly as I picked up my order. Thank you, Laud!

I was surprised to find a Nigerian shawarma place in the DMV area & so I just had to try it. The shawarma is really close to, if not like shawarma from ebeano in Lekki or Chanel O in Owerri. Then the accompanying sauce is suspiciously similar to the signature chick-fil a sauce but better. Let me not overhype them before you go & are unimpressed but I don’t think you’d be disappointed (this is not a sponsored post) Lool!

I tried the beef dambu nama, sadly not impressed. Won’t order it again.

This is my favourite place to pick up lunch in Solaire Social. The fish shawarma, jollof rice and bread are very good . I really love the almond milkshake – absolutely delicious. The people who run the shop are kind.

If I could give negative stars. Didn’t get my exact chicken shawarma order, ordered hotdogs and spicy, neither in sight. No taste and very bland. Not worth it at all. They should change their name too. Very scammy

Save yourself time and money and head over to Subway. Definitely not Naija-style, so embarrassing. No flavor. It’s just a chicken and ketchup wrap
