L’Auberge de France is a beautiful French Bistro right in downtown Belleville. They have French inspired lunches, dinners, and pastries. It also offers a variety of imported European gourmet culinary products and a beautifully displayed Cheese Shop.
My friend loves this spot and I can see why. The experience was really nice. Very esthetically pleasing. The outdoor eating area is lovely, albeit it just rained, so we stayed inside.
All the pastries and treats…. look so good. The cheese croissant was literally the best I ever had (get them to heat it up for you). I’ve heard the breakfast croissant is heavenly as well – next time!
My friend had a latte (he enjoyed his) and I wanted a Chai latte (like similar to Starbucks) but this was a Chai tea. I didn’t enjoy it, but that’s on me to clarify next time or order something different. My sweet friend spoke to a male staff member about my drink, as he wanted it to be perfect for me but the Chai is made different here so that’s all good. I wouldn’t order it again, but that’s OK. I would do a London Fog next time and see how that goes.

We went to Belleville from Markham for a day trip. Found this lovely French restaurant on the front street. Ordered 2 sandwiches (smoked salmon and Montreal smoked meat)and 2 desserts. Everything tasted amazing! The environment was also lovely, feeling like back to Europe. The cashier lady was especially friendly and lovely! Will definitely go back again and again!

Absolutely fantastic! Phenomenal food, great service and charming atmosphere! The owner, from France, is very friendly and charming too! I lived the almond croissants and pains au chocolat, as well as the lemon tart. The Basque cake was great with its homemade raspberry jam and custard. Great coffee prepared by the owner while we chatted! Exquisite Butternut soup to go. Reminded me of back home (Québec City) with its French European cachet! ♥️♥️

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and I can see it was lined up. Great sandwiches which very tasty. We went with the lemon tart as a dessert which was recommended. It was delicious highly suggest you stop in. Limited seating.

This bakery had amazing sandwiches, bread, desserts and hot chocolate! I was very impressed with the variety of foods they offered. I had a roast beef and brie sandwich which was made with real roast beef (not deli meats), caramelized onions, brie, greens and a delicious sauce. The portions were very large! Two of my friends could only eat half of their sandwiches.
I highly recommend coming to this place if you want delicious sandwiches, quiche, puffed pastries, and cakes!

This is a little taste of French corner coffee shop! We drove for 1 hour here and we weren’t disappointed!! We had sandwich, capucino and desert, so good!! Very tasty experience, definitely will go back in summer!

Lovely! You must visit this place when you come to Belleville, Ontario. I had a croque Monsieur & a coffee. Well, I won’t count calories but it is delicious. They have indoor seating and patio seating in the summer -of course. The decor, service, and the food is very tasty. I want to come back.
