Unbelievable food. We had a wonderful dinner at Latour. The food was prepared really well and the service was spectacular, for example our waters were full the entire evening. I love that it is BYOB. It’s also a nice touch that the chef and owner himself came by to thank us for coming. The desserts were the highlight, phenomenal quality and almost all made in-house.

The ambience isn’t loud and it’s perfect for having a conversation with no blasting music. You technically don’t need a reservation but just to be safe It’s a good idea to make one.

Parking can be annoying in Ridgewood but just check the side streets and park for free and it’ll be a 5-minute walk or so. 5 stars!

The restaurant has a romantic and cozy atmosphere. The food is exquisite and delicious. The service is always elegant and gentlemanly. Although I come here often but I don’t leave a review every time. It’s my favorite French restaurant.

It was mine and my husband’s wedding anniversary, on Halloween. Everything was amazing. From the second we walked in, and we were able to choose our own table to the delicious creme brulee we had for dessert. Everything was delicious. The service was excellent!

We went on a Sunday night. The service was top notch and the food is good. We knew it was BYOB, but we didn’t know the only drink options were sparkling water, tap water and coffee. It’s mostly an older crowd and a relaxed, casual vibe. Dishes we ordered included roasted beet salad, lamb bolognese, crispy filet of bronzini, apple streudal and Black Forest cake.

This restaurant is an absolute gem. We came to celebrate a birthday and the whole experience was enchanting.
Appetizers: French onion soup and escargots a la bourguignone.
Main: apricot glazed duck breast in a Grand Marnier sauce.
Dessert: Cheese cake in Grand Marnier.
The food was absolutely delicious. The escargots were amazing and the sauce was delicious.
I am usually not a fan of duck as it tends to be dry, but at the suggestion of our fabulous server Alex I decided to take a chance. I have no clue how Mr. Latour did it, but it was an incredibly tender and succulent piece of meat!
The dessert was good but we could not taste the Grand Marnier.
Overall, this was a most enjoyable experience which we absolutely recommend and which we will definitely repeat.
Thank you!

Food was amazing and the tasting menu was very reasonably priced for what you get! Service was also fantastic. If I had one complaint, it would be the bring your own bottle policy, but that’s common for the area. Luckily liquor store just around the corner where we picked up a bottle of wine… Creme Brûlée highly recommended!

La Tour in Ridgewood never disappoints. The mushroom soup is unbelievably flavorful and feels downright nourishing, and the short rib pappardelle is the kind of dish you keep thinking about long after the plate is clean. We finished with their crème brûlée (perfectly creamy with that crackly top). The service is warm and attentive, and the chef personally coming around to check on guests adds such a thoughtful touch. It’s no surprise La Tour is the longest standing restaurant in town. The whole place has this charming Provençal vibe that makes you want to linger. Highly recommend…merci!

We just recently returned from a trip to Paris and we were craving French cuisine. Latour is our new go-to place !!! The escargot, cheese soufflé, French onion soup, filet mignon Wellington and duck was magnifique. We felt transported back to France and all while enjoying a cozy local byob right in the heart of Ridgewood. Look forward to our next visit.

Made a reservation for my parents’ anniversary and it was absolutely lovely! Excellent service, amazing food, charming atmosphere. We got the escargot and foie gras for appetizers, two of the specials of the day — a white bean stew and a venison dish, and the chocolate mousse cake for dessert. They added a candle to the cake to celebrate the anniversary, and the chef came out to all the tables to check on everyone. Excited to go back and try more of their menu!
