Great old school bar with seasoned bartenders, excellent drinks, good food and a welcoming atmosphere. A wide range of beers on tap. Definitely worth it to check it out while in Alpena.

Great hole in the wall local watering hole! Cheap strong pours (large selection of spirits) and a decent draft selection of Michigan beers,plus the normal selection of bottle beer. 3 TVs and even a pool table for entertainment. Food selection is limited, but still cheap. Great place to end a busy day!

I always have a lot of fun when I’m at Lattitudes Tavern.
A must: Take “Jack Cab” Taxi Service for everyone’s safety.
And like any tavern, be ready to ignore a few attitudes at Lattitudes.
But tread cautiously, this is the only time in my life where someone asked me if I do drugs. Then, I was informed by the locals that the Huron Undercover Narcotics Team (H.U.N.T.) works the bars in Northeastern Michigan (heavily in the city of Alpena) looking to set people up for a drug purchase/arrest.
They are very aggressive, large in number, and will not leave you alone.
That is how desperate they are to keep their jobs. By using your hard earned money to keep their “Huge Law Enforcement Machine” operating.
That is, regardless of how bad the current local economy appears to be for everyone else.
The owner is a class act.
It’s a great place to catch the game on the tube and ignore the usual drama that follows with being in a bar crowd.
The staff is friendly and provides prompt service.

Nice little place to stop for an ale! They have a pretty good selection of craft beers, good prices, and friendly staff. They also have a jukebox and pool table to keep you busy while you sip on your drink! I love the atmosphere here, I went to a bar up the road to find an obnoxious drunk dude “talking” to everyone, so I promptly went back to Latitudes, where I could enjoy my beer in peace!

We’ve stopped here a few times for drinks but this time we decided to get the Tony burger. A little $2.50 burger that did not disappoint! It had a super soft bun with a tasty little beef patty. We added grilled onions to it. Can’t wait to have another!

Small town atmosphere. Specialty foods on certain nights. Pretty much fries only after 7-8pm.
