LIFE-THREATENING EXPERIENCE – DO NOT EAT HERE!
I had the most horrifying experience at Latitudes Apollo Beach today (2/27/26). While eating the Drunken Grouper Pasta, I found a sharp, jagged piece of a metal scouring pad (wire sponge) inside my food. I almost swallowed it and choked. This is a severe safety hazard that could have resulted in a trip to the ER.
To make matters worse, when I showed the evidence to the staff, they were incredibly dismissive and REFUSED to comp the meal or take any real responsibility for nearly choking a customer. We paid $69.81 (Check #48, Table 42) for a meal that included a dangerous foreign object.
Management clearly does not care about food safety or customer service. If you value your life and your wallet, STAY AWAY. I am reporting this incident to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) and the Health Department immediately.

I have been going to Latitudes Apollo for years. I can tell you Donna and her staff never disappoint. We are fortunate to have such a great neighborhood bar and restaurant. I feel like it is our very own Cheers where everybody knows your name.

Not a place you would order beer battered fish, a gooey mess. If I could score less than one I would. Food took nearly 45 minutes to get to table. Ordered Long Island drink which wasn’t properly prepared.

Peel and eat shrimp appetizer was slimy and absolutely turned. Had to send it back and even the waitress said she smelled it was bad when she took it back. My fish and chips was so overcooked that the fish literally evaporated and shriveled up inside of the batter. Had to send that back too. My dad (it was his birthday) ordered the blackened salmon and they sent him out the salmon with hollandaise instead. He sent that back as well. We ordered 3 kids meals: slider burger, Mac n’ cheese, and noodles with butter. The Mac n’ cheese was literally a 3rd of the size of the other 2 meals. It was portioned in a side serving bowl, whereas the noodles and butter were in a full sized soup bowl. The slider was a full sized burger and came out with nothing on it. I guess we should have clarified to add toppings, but I think the waitress should have asked if we wanted ketchup at least. The blackened grouper bites and grilled grouper bites were both very good and my sister and niece seemed to both enjoy their chicken Alfredo. I also need to state that they removed the shrimp, salmon, and fish and chips from the bill, but I would have rather had a good meal and paid for it ♀️

We have been to Latitudes many times & enjoyed it. This week we had guest and brought them to lunch. We were seated promptly, then the wait began. Finally, the only waitress took our order & the wait continued! My cousin ordered potatoes soup & it was cold. Her husband ordered fish & chips & it was over done. My husband’s order was never put in! It was embarrassing to bring guests for slow service & poorly prepared food.

The food was OK, just a little bit salty. Fish and chips were a little bit chewy and the zucchini was extremely salty. The bathroom definitely smelled of urine. The service was great. They have outside dining, pretty good selection of beers, and spirits. Can’t say that I would be back again. Basically a sports bar. I wouldn’t bring children here.

Me and my husband were walk ins . Immediately taken back by the atmosphere. Our server was fast and efficient and the food was so good. I think the burger is among the best I’ve had. Very good 10 out of 10.

Great staff, clean establishment. They were out of a few things that were on the menu i including the grouper sandwich, so I had them to recreate the sandwich with salmon. It was decent, it just needed more seasoning. The stuffed mushrooms were pretty good as well.

First time Brunch here and was great. The amount of sausage in the biskets and gravey was nice compared to other places. The omelette was I think a little small but tasted awesome. Loved the do it yourself bottomless mimosa drinks.

A great local eatery. Food was great. Everything was cooked amazing. We sat at the bar and as usual the services were prompt and very nice. Food came out timely and tasted great. Oysters were shucked correctly so no shells were left. Shrimp was not over cooked and the accompaniments were nice. Tuna was seared great and tasted lovely. Great drinks. Great joint!
