We were in town for the Ohio v WVU game and 11 of us dined here.
It’s a university run restaurant which gives the personnel real experience. Also, because it is university run, they do not take gratuities –which seems odd in this day and age — but rest assured– it does NOT affect any part of the dining experience.
We had a fabulous meal and the service was excellent. Sam was our lead waitstaff, but, because we had 11, others chipped in to help.
We’re a motley looking crew, but we had a great time here!!

Beautiful restaurant, food would’ve been great if we didn’t wait an hour (lunch time MAYBE 10 tables seated) for our food to come out and then 3/5 of us had cold food. Staff at the time didn’t seem very attentive and when I tried expressing my displeasure, the GM interrupted me to inform me they don’t accept cash. Her apology was half-hearted and she refused to come back to my table to even give us back our card & receipt (after I had to hunt her down at a table on a laptop to even get our check) she sent an unknown to us server to “deal with us” Also, please inform staff that it’s against health code to chew gum while working in a restaurant. GM definitely needs some retraining on customer service and girl, when your kitchen is in the weeds get up out the chair, close the laptop and HELP RUN YOUR STORE!!! Oh and maybe move your unnoticeable, pale cashless sign up where people’s line of vision is instead of shin height on the bottom of the open door nobody looks at.

I had the worst dining experience at this restaurant. The food is decent, and the atmosphere and location are great, but the service is incredibly slow every time I’ve visited. The last time I went, it took about 30 minutes just to have my order taken (the waiter actually approached two other tables who arrived after me first), and then another 30-40 minutes for my food to arrive. Naturally, I was frustrated, but I gave them another chance, thinking maybe it was just a busy day. Unfortunately, today was even worse. I ended up leaving without even placing my order because no one approached me after I’d been sitting there for 30 minutes. It wasn’t busy at all! I noticed three staff members cleaning and serving other 2 tables for a few minutes, looking at them if they would come, and two others were chatting at the counter. I was hoping someone would come take my order, but it seemed like they were more focused on their conversation than on helping customers. I’m not sure if the bad service is because they don’t accept tips or if it’s just due to me dining alone, but it’s still incredibly frustrating. They did mention they don’t accept tips, which might explain some of the lack of enthusiasm. There are so many other great restaurants nearby, so this will definitely be my last visit. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for timely service.

Very short wait to be seated. Greeted with a friendly demeanor at the door. Host was upbeat and smiled with a welcoming greeting. Server was quick and correct.
Fish and Chips was a great quality and a healthy portion. Fantastic tasting and filling.
Bartender was spot-on with the drinks.

Ordered online, kept adding time to how long it would take (15-20 minutes additional), was missing my sides which I didn’t realize until after I left unfortunately, and when I asked about the deal of the day (free cake) was told I had to click on the app to select it (checked after I left and there was no options for such). Not super pleased at all, don’t know if/when I’ll come back. Fish tacos were good at least.

Food was bland and small portions. We had 4 separate items and none of us were impressed Service was friendly but slow. Sitting at a table and a huge line forming behind you as people wait for the bar was not preferred. The fact it’s on campus is convenient. I don’t believe we will attempt again but everyone should give it a go and make their own decision.

The food was good, but the service was a bit slow. We got our appetizer only a couple of minutes before we got our entrees. It took them forever to bring us our pretzel. When we did get it, it was very good. It also took them awhile to bring us our drinks. There are fewer items on the menu this year. There is no tipping which isn’t noted on the menu.

Really enjoyed the food. The service was warm, friendly and prompt. The prices were surprising: $4 for a draft beer!
We were sad for them that our table appeared to be their only customers on Homecoming Saturday evening.

Giving benefit of the doubt due to parents weekend, but very slow service. Drinks took 10 minutes, no napkins or silverware, and they cram 5 people around a 4-top. Prices were acceptable, unless you order a spinach Caesar salad. The salad had about 30 spinach leaves. Ordered one with calamari on it and one with chicken. Both came with chicken and we received our second calamari appetizer. Decor is nice and convenient location on campus. I hope they can get it together or it just won’t make it. Good Luck
