Great place for a Honduran breakfast. We drive to West Monroe several times a year to eat breakfast here. Delicious

We travel across the country quite a bit and this is one of our favorite places to eat. We always stop when we are passing through Monroe. It is locally owned and sometimes there is a bit of a language barrier but the staff is always friendly and the food is always excellent. My favorite is the Honduran Dinner (steak, eggs, sweet plantains, rice & beans, avocado, cheese, and creme with white corn tortillas) and the coffee. We also get the chicken tacos, shrimp tacos, fish tacos, pupusas, and burgers. We haven’t found a dish we didn’t like yet.

10-9-19 breakfast. The waitress was nice polite and helpful. The restaurant was clean that I could see. I did not care for the Decore and the overall appearance of the location. The food was good. The waitress help me pick my order because I was not familiar with the menu. The Coffee was extremely hot. Our meals were finished and we were still not able to even take a sip of it. After the coffee cooled down the coffee tasted perfect. Overall it was not a bad experience and I would return to this location.

Met an old friend there for lunch there while traveling through Monroe and have to say this place is a hidden gem! I ordered the Steak Tacos and large Latin Coffee and both were absolutely fantastic! The tacos are some of the best I’ve every had, and I’ve had a lot of great ones living in Texas! Don’t miss the Latin Coffee too, it is so good! Also, the owner was so kind to us! I’ll definitely be stopping anytime I’m passing through Monroe! Highly recommend!

The coffee alone makes me give this place 5 stars. It is THE BEST coffee in the twin cities. Yes, it’s worth the 15 minute drive from Monroe. The pretty large ceramic mug was so much nicer than the normal foam cup!!
The food was good to me, but I will order something else next time. Bone in chicken cooked in a dish is just too messy to eat without a knife and fork. Eating chicken in a dish like I got with a knife and fork was not fun. The flavors were good, and the serving was very large.
Don’t let the outside of this place drive you away. There is little parking in front, and the building is run down on the outside. It’s not fancy inside, but it’s nice. They have nice TVs in some areas of you want to watch the game. The wait staff is GREAT! Having the owner there greeting people and watching over the place was a nice sign that they care about how customers are treated.
Things I learned eating here today. These people are so nice!! They may not speak great English, but they work hard to successfully communicate. The beef and peppers is DELICIOUS!! The Habanero sauce is too hot for any mortals. Just leave it on the table. The verde sauce is very nice. The coffee is fantastic even with Splenda.

Went here with a friend for coffee and actually got some chicken fajitas and burritos. The food was amazing and you absolutely can’t get good food like that for the price. For good food at a low price I highly recommend this place! It’s definitely worth trying! Oh and the coffee is really good and super hot!

My boyfriend and I go here every Sunday religiously!! They’re known for their famous Honduran coffee that will make you a serious Latin Food fanatic, but we don’t just go for the coffee. We go for their seriously authentic food. There’s never a question if something is fresh. Everything there is made (to order) BY HAND with LOVE! Our favorites are the Chicken Sebenas with “chicken chunks” basically just hand breaded chunks of chicken that make it easier to eat and cut up. This dish is served with a tomato sauce and Parmesan. It’s a crazy mix of foods, but it’s kind of like a honduran version spaghetti minus the noodles, but I can tell you this much; it puts our American “sphaghetti” to shame! There’s no doubt that you’ll have leftovers. I usually ask for tomato sauce to-go so I can use it for when I heat my leftovers up. For people looking for a healthier option, my suggestion would be their fajitas! I usually get chicken and steak fajitas. I ate these even when I was on the Whole 20 diet! My 81-year old grandmother recently tried Latin Food for the first time, and she ordered the fajitas. I can honestly say that they are grandparent approved! She absolutely loved them! I got the chicken sebenas with chicken chunks, and I let her try mine. She said that next time, she’s going to get what I got! Another crowd favorite of Latin Food-lovers is the Honduran dinner. I don’t have a picture of it, but it’s the very first dish that I ever ordered at Latin Food. Make sure to ask for extra sour cream–you will be craving it for the next week– oh, and I never ate sour cream until I tried it from Latin Food. It comes with either corn tortillas (they are amazing) or flour tortillas (also amazing) which are larger. They are both made from scratch in their kitchen, so either one you choose, you can’t go wrong. So there’s a few of my tips for what to order and how to order at Latin Food! We usually ask for Kelly as a waitress, but every single waitress there is incredible. They’re all so personable! Hope everyone enjoys reading this book of a review!

An absolute gem. The food was very tasty. Fresh and cooked well. The sweet plantains were an excellent side. The service was quirky, the young waitress seemed to have only taken a handful of orders ever, and her command of English left a lot to be desired. I tried to get a slice lemon with my water, and it took asking thrice and was eventually presented limes. My girlfriend and I had a good laugh and continued to enjoy our meals. Overall a great time.

This is probably the best food I’ve eaten in 1.5 years of living here. Perfectly seasoned and surprisingly authentic! The service was wonderful as well. I’ll definitely be back!
