The food and service was amazing! The coffee was strong, my mom and sister really enjoyed it. We ordered pupusas revueltas, carne asada, tamal de cerdo, and chicharrón con yuka. The pupusas were made to perfection, the right amount of meat and cheese. Carne and chicharrón were cooked just right, and the rice was fluffy. Our plates were completely empty at the end. We’ll definitely stop by again whenever we’re in Durham.

Worst service worst portions
Ordered a breakfast plate off there menu and the portion I got was definitely not worth $19 dollars. It was at best 7 _8 $$ maybe.

My husband has never sent food back or complained at a restaurant in my 15 years of knowing him but his dish was terrible. So we both had baleadas con pollo which seemed ok, not the best we’ve had. Doesn’t seem to be very good quality, unfortunately. We love supporting local Latino places, I hope this was just a bad night for them. The service on the other hand was amazing, I hope we can come back to experience a better meal next time.

I’ve been coming to Doña Eva’s ( the owner) lovely restaurant since I was a child. I’m Durham born and raised and I’m yet to have baleadas in the city like hers , the very best of the best . If you’re looking for quality service go to your typical Ruth Chris …. If you want Latin American food made with love and warmth , come here !!!

Get ready for some sticker shock. The menu on the wall as well as the printed one doesn’t list any prices.
To order about 4 pupusas, 1 burrito, 3 tacos al pastor and some carne asada on rice I was charged $63. There were very little sides and salsa included too.
I’d say you’d be better served by finding a food truck and going there instead. At least there you know what you’re being charged for food.
Also the sign says pollo Al carbon (i.e. chicken roasted over coals, but they don’t even serve that). It felt like a bit of a bait and switch when I realized that.

I walk in to order tacos and the lady looked surprised I was ordering food. 3 carne asada tacos were $9? That price was painful. The cook comes out after I give the bewildered owner my order, to look at who’s ordering taco’s and gives a bad look like I wasnt supposed to be there. I kinda felt like I just walked in off the street, they made up a price not expecting business, and then just ran with the concept of serving food because a stranger asked for it. While I sat there, I was offered water. The owner was kind and talked to me about her background. Service was quick. The taco’s were okay.

Horrible customer service. They give attitude and are very rude if you ask a couple of questions which is ridiculous. Food is overpriced the the amount they give. Would not recommend
