Family-friendly, American Cuisine with all homemade menu items with gluten free, vegan & vegetarian options. Open year-round, the Latchstring Restaurant is a great place to stop after a fun-filled day in the canyon. Whether it’s a romantic dinner for two by the roaring fireplace or the whole family, the Latchstring has a menu that is sure to please all! The Latchstring Restaurant offers a Puppy Patio during summer months for well-behaved leashed fur-friends. After a hike on one of the near-by trails stop in for lunch & get the puppy a treat too!

Great staff, atmosphere, and food! We ate here a few times during our stay over our time at the lodge for the wedding. ✨️Clea✨️ was kind, informative, and attentative throughout both catering during the wedding and during our meals throughout our stay. Atmosphere was warm with the fireplace, beautiful view of the mountains through the big windows, peaceful and they had igloos outside you can reserve. Breakfast and dinner were huge and delicious portions consistently. The seasonal cocktail menu with the coco, cider, and coffee options were all great flavor pallets. The Trout Almondine was one of my favorite meals here.

Visiting from CT a couple weeks ago hit this place up for lunch after hiking the area. Amazing Walleye sandwich and a couple cold ones on the back deck looking up at the 76 trail peak I had hiked! If you’re looking for delicious food, a gorgeous view, and super friendly service, and you also have a lot of time on your hands, then this is definitely the spot for you! The Trout Almondine absolutely lives up to the hype and is worth savoring. However, if you’re in a hurry, you might want to skip this place because the service can be on the slower side. If you have the time to relax and enjoy, you’ll have a fantastic experience. If not, maybe grab a snack somewhere else!

Made reservations for New Year’s Eve and we are so glad we did! The special menu for the holiday was perfect! The food was amazing! We had beef Wellington and chicken cordon blue. Both delicious entree’s! Nice, clean atmosphere. Quiet. Good service We hadn’t eaten here in years but glad we did.

Latchstring Restaurant is a great option to have, if you are staying in the lodge with no other restaurant nearby, Everything is tasty, the menu is plentiful, the space is lovely and the staff attentive. We did not have a bad meal.
For the five nights we had-the wagyu steak, melt-in-your-mouth tender, trout almondine delicious, very tender chitse, tortellini with chicken, very good and burgers with crispy fries. Their chocolate cake is to die for. Moist and rich.
I woke up happy knowing I was going to enjoy one of their breakfasts in their lovely terrace. The skillet is delicious and a lot of food. Whole wheat bread is thick and yummy.
Negatives-dinner roll quality uneven. Very chewy one night, hard as a rock the next, ok another. And the place can be noisy and can be cold.
Recommend that they trim the bushes on the terrace as they are starting to obstruct the beautiful view.

Very good service. Canyon Dip is the best…must try. Country fried steak has changed over the years. It’s a little to thick for my liking. Apple cider vodka winter drink is really tasty.
