We were in Milford today around lunchtime. on our way to another eating establishment in Shelton when we passed by a small building that caught my eye, Lasse’s Restaurant on Bridgeport Ave. I looked at my wife and said that looks interesting and Shelton was another 15 minuets away, so we figured what the hell .lets give it a go. We got there just in time, because within 15 minuets of us being seated the place was full. It isn’t a big place but what it lacks in size it has character and a local feel that smacks you in the face. Service was great, very friendly wait staff. The walls were full of photos of old-time Milford, and the locals buzzing in conversation, great to find a place like this. Great atmosphere. My wife ordered the patty melt and I opted for the rib eye sandwich both were very good. This lunch stop was worth it, we now have another restaurant we can stop in and are guaranteed great service great food and an atmosphere that puts you at ease. So glad we stopped here.

Very casual atmosphere. Old style Italian. Haven’t ordered we don’t like here but one of the family havens their roast beef with Au jus sauce. Yum! Been here since 1964. That good. Small place with great food.

I have tried their Chicken Parm dinner, the Steak and Cheese grinder that comes with fries and another time, the meatloaf dinner.I enjoyed all 3 very much.Their coleslaw and Onion Rings are also excellent and my mom thoroughly enjoyed her Stuffed 1/2 chicken dinner.My Dad loved the Whole Belly Clam platter.
An excellent chef/ kitchen and a very friendly, pleasant waitstaff.
You will not be disappointed.

Found this gem after spending the day at the beach by searching Google and seeing good reviews. It did not disappoint! Our waitress was very good, food was delicious, and prices were very reasonable. My only suggestion would be to fix up the place a bit, decor is tired. No need for cloth table cloths (ours were stained) and a general update to the knotty pine walls and bathroom door that sticks funny.

Got the eggplant parm family meal and can’t wait to try the others. Deal is amazing. Food was great. Light sweet marinara sauce which I love. Plenty of food for family of 3-4. As a side, the staff couldn’t be more pleasant. Called and was ready in 30 minutes.

I’ve been going to Lasse’s from time time since around 1987 mostly on a Saturday for a roast beef sandwich but occasionally would dine in. Yesterday I ordered a roast beef and a dinner to go. The RB sandwich was so disappointing. Loaded with a layer of a thick fatty piece of beef. I couldn’t believe it. First time in all these years. I still will recommended them to anyone. Hopefully next time will be better.
