Amazing experience. First time here. Matt was my sandwich maker and these guys are really good at making sandwiches.
I was impressed by how full eating half my sandwich left me and how delicious it was.

I just want to say i went in the other day for the first time and it was a great experience. The young employee King Rick or Rick what ever he goes by made my sandwich exactly how i wanted everything i ask for he was patient it busy when i got there and he didn’t rush me and the sandwich as soon as i bit into to it i was in heaven as if he made the sandwich as he would make it for himself. 10/10 for him this guy deserve to recgontion so when you go to laspadas as King Rick he make the best sandwich try for yourself ☺️

After being given a warm and friendly greeting by the young man at the head of the assembly line, my young nieces from out of town and I sat down with our sandwiches. The manager, or instructor, began to loudly berate the worker who had greeted us in such a friendly manner in front of all the customers, not to mention the fact that it was only his second day of employment. That would never be tolerated in my company. It left a bad taste in an otherwise delicious lunch. There went our 3pm sandwich bliss.

Can’t believe I’ve never reviewed LaSpadas. This is an institution. I haven’t lived in Ft. Lauderdale since 1987. But I find excuses to get to South Florida as much as I can just to get LaSpadas.
I have told all of my college friends (Duke) and local friends (Atlanta) about LaSpadas. So many of them have made their way over the years. Everyone, I mean every one agrees this is on the list of the best sub (ok hoagie – whatever) in America. Guys from NY, San Francisco, LA, etc. Real foodie places.
It’s weird, because there aren’t any magical homemade ingredients. The vibe is your small town, small local sub shop. The bread is always the key to everything and their bread supplier (whoever it is) produces the perfect sub roll. Tossing the meat from the slicer across the room to the person making your sub is an entertainment bonus. You have the bottom meat, essentially a salad next, then all of the spices (say you want everything), then the key – the meat topper that tucks in all of the yumminess.

It was a tad large for my liking but maybe this was their whole knack which I did not know. Regardless, it was probably my choice of a large that made me feel this way lol. Overall the staff is nice and welcoming, and the value was good.
An open faced hoagie was more than I bargained for at the beach but was delicious. I took the rest home and ate it the following day. I say get a few less toppings than I did and it’d be even better

This is one of the few remaining places you can eat and not feel like you’re getting ripped off. The food is always fresh and consistent. Definitely something my family craves regularly and the best sub around. I highly recommend you eat here for your first meal after labor and delivery so you can have one of the best meals of your life.
