Ordered the Shrimp and Steak Fajitas. Very enjoyable, sizable portion too. Came served on it’s own chafing table so it was piping hot. The platter had a pretty standard and enjoyable taste. Shrimp were somewhat scarce as I believe there were 4 jumbo butterflied shrimp on it.
Lupe was our waitress and she was nice. Very friendly to our son who was dunking tortilla chips in his cup of horchata before eating them.
Speaking of Horchata, the jumbo Horchata was served in a Margarita glass. Thought it was unusual. But it was good.
Decor matched the restaurant theme. But it was very warm in here. I guess that matches the theme too. I did enjoy the vibe here.
I would come back. This gave me exactly what I was looking for.

This restaurant is our go-to for authentic Mexican cuisine. It’s a cozy, family-friendly spot with ample seating and a welcoming bar area. They offer outdoor dining when the weather allows. Their margaritas are excellent, with a variety of flavors to try. The service is top-notch, with cheerful and professional staff. The food is consistently amazing—we’ve sampled nearly everything on the menu. This time, we enjoyed the steak and shrimp dinner plate, along with steak and enchiladas. If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by for a fantastic dining experience that will leave you feeling satisfied and content.

We went here because we always drive by so we decided to have a birthday celebration here. We were greeted upon entering. We had the person take are drink order within being sat. Our server was prompt and curtis. He met our needs promptly. We all had something different and we all were satisfied with our choices, and the food was good(unlike some of the reviews), ours was good. The drinks were satisfying and to top it off. The server brought out a piece of cake for the birthday boy and other server staff came over to sing which was a hit(surprise) they didn’t have to do that.
Our only thought was that staff shouldn’t sit a table off to the side and talk as if they had nothing to do.

Came for a birthday dinner and had a good time. The restaurant was nicely decorated and clean. The guacamole was excellent and so was the steak and shrimp fajitas! Large large portions. The margaritas were yummy and STRONG! WOW! had complimentary birthday shots. Next time I want Mexican food know where to go. Waitstaff was pleasant and knowledgeable.

I can not elaborate how much I enjoyed their chimichangas the crisp was so light and perfect! When I applied their homemade hot sauce my tongue was on fire but I couldn’t stop the rush of spices it even cleared my sinuses. The chicken was extremely soft. I had a tamarind margarita and that was extremely refreshing I felt so blessed to be able to share this experience with family who recommended this establishment…we wouldn’t be able to enjoy this meal without them. Thank you so much I can’t wait to go back again to try out more of their other delicious dishes.

I absolutely love Las Palmas Mexican restaurant in the heart of Harwood heights and norridge in the northwest side of Chicagoland. This restaurant is an absolute gem in a wonderful and friendly neighborhood. The food is fantastic, we always get a picture of their top shelf margaritas and they are totally worth every penny! We have gotten their fajita platter and there is so much food! The enchiladas are fantastic, tacos are fantastic and it is very easy to park because they have their own parking lot.

Excellent Mexican food, fresh and authentic, feels like it’s Hidden because its no where near all the restaurants on Harem which makes for a cozy laid back setting. Guac is really good, their ‘ carne Asada ‘ is excellent!

Same layout as years ago when it used to be Mateo’s. Great waitress, fast service, I ordered the Inner skirt steak with 1 chille relleno my steak was very fatty. Everything else was ok, my son ordered the burrito which he liked. My husband ordered the steak fajitas, those were good. Salsa’s all three were hardly no spice, the guacamole was bland. I’m white but I love spice lol but it’s was ok, also the hand made flour tortillas were amazing!!!
