Las Palmas is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Virginia Beach. They have multiple locations in the 757 and 804 areas of Virginia. The atmosphere is pleasant and vibrant. The staff, are fun and friendly. The food is great (table side guac is fresh and full of flavor and the carne asada tacos are delicious and authentic)! Whenever I desire Mexican food, Las Palmas is my go to spot. I drive out of my way, passing several other Mexican restaurants along the way because Las Palmas has not disappointed. They are consistent across the board! 5 Stars Every Time!

A few friends and I decided to dine here for dinner and overall, we had a great experience! First off, let me say that the customer service is phenomenal. From the time you walk in to the time you leave out, you will be greeted and spoken very well to by any of the staff there. They definitely make you feel welcomed and at home! Now to the food->>> I ordered the shredded chicken tacos combination with rice and beans and my friends ordered the birria tacos. The food was really good, but the shredded chicken just wasn’t seasoned on the tacos. I’d recommend seasoning it for flavor. Other than that, everything was perfect! They really enjoyed the birria tacos. We also had someone come and make guacamole in front of us which was a cool experience. It was good! They also have some really good drinks!! I highly recommend the Bahama Mama and the other margaritas! You won’t be disappointed. The prices are also reasonable and you get a great portion size! Also, before you leave, make sure you take a picture so that you can purchase a post card! I really loved how mine came out and it just solidified a great experience for me! ☺️

The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food was enjoyable, though the salsa could use a bit of improvement. I tried the California Burrito, and the steak was cooked to perfection. The Famous Tacos were bursting with flavor, and the Margaritas were absolutely delicious. If you’re a fan of tequila and beautifully crafted drinks like I am, this spot is a must-visit!
Side note the burrito comes topped with more stuff but I like mine plain.

The overall experience at this Mexican restaurant was okay, but several aspects fell short.
To begin with, the waiter only asked one person at our table for an ID. When questioned why the other person wasn’t asked, he made an unprofessional joke, claiming to be their “friend” and already knowing them, which wasn’t true and felt biased. Additionally, the waiter was unfamiliar with basic drinks on the menu, which they did have but required extensive explanation to figure out.
The food presentation also left room for improvement. For instance, an avocado half was served as-is on the plate, and it would have been better if it had been replaced with a fresher one or prepared more thoughtfully. Throughout the meal, several different staff members approached our table, but no one introduced themselves, which made the service feel inconsistent.
On the bright side, the food tasted good, and the drinks were decent, but the service and attention to detail could use some work.

Delicious food and warm atmosphere. About $20 per person for dinner and you will leave stuffed. Highly recommend.
