This hidden gem is nothing short of amazing the owner is great, the staff and service epic. I love the seafood pineapple but I see many pictures already so I’ll post the octopus. This place is very good, cant wait to go back.

I can’t complain about the food. I tried the seafood soup several times and the oysters, which are fresh. However, it seems the cook changed, because the last few times I went back the soup no longer had the same flavor.
Now, I only have one complaint, and it’s the reason I don’t plan to return. I was charged twice for the same item on the bill. I paid it because you don’t eat for free anywhere, and I always pay for what I consume.
The logical thing is that if a customer asks for the bill to be checked because there is a double charge, the staff should go to the cashier and investigate, not come back to argue with the customer. A customer goes to a restaurant to eat and to pay what is owed, nothing more.

Attentive waitress, however she charged herself $20 in gratuity even though we tipped her. Also we had to ask for a breakdown of the receipt as they don’t give you one when giving you the bill. Please beware and ask for the bill showing what they charge you. I tried the camarones a la diabla and they where very good and flavorful however they where not as Spicy as I hoped they would be. I love how they give you complimentary ceviche as you wait to order.

Overall food tasted good, just way overpriced. A large ceviche(which came in a small cup the size of a pop can) cost $17. $5 for 1 avacado, and $6 for a large drink. Overall, it was $30 for such a small amount of food.

Unfortunately, my experience at Las Islas Marías was very disappointing. I ordered food for pickup, but they gave me the wrong order. When I called to report the mistake, the person who answered the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of offering a solution, they told me I’d have to pay full price for a new dish, even though the mistake was theirs. They even said they didn’t care and wouldn’t take back the wrong food.
I definitely won’t be coming back — it was a frustrating experience and very poor customer service.

I absolutely LOVE this place!! The ceviche and the Cameron’s Cucaracha are a must every time I go. This place has a great vibe and an incredible staff. Everybody there is so nice. If you haven’t been there, grab some friends and go!!

This was our first time here. We are Big fans of the Isla Marias in Villa Park so we decided to give this one a try. We came for an early dinner here last week. There were just people at 2 other tables. We sat at the booth close to the door at the front windows. I saw gambling machines on the opposite side with a couple of guys playing. The guys started to go in and out smoking in front of the restaurant and we had to inhale the smoke while eating every time they went in and out which was disturbing, and get bursts of cold air blown at us. They had a juke box and one of the guys gambling selected a song that began to blast so loud we couldn’t hear. Thankfully someone turned it down after 2 minutes. Hence, minus one star.
Aside from that, our food was delicious and our waitress was great. We ordered two tilapia dinners with mejillones, mixed cerviche, and shrimp cocktail. Everything was perfect! Prices were average for this chain. A little pricey depending on which seafood dishes, but I feel well worth it due to the large portions. I will definitely come back. I would just sit closer to the back or the side, away from the doors.

Went there a few days ago and I loved it, the food is great, a bit pricey but delicious. Laura, our waitress, was very helpful and nice. I personally recommend the Stuffed Pineapple and the shrimp empanadas. Will definitely be back!!
