This intimate restaurant boasts delicious food, beautiful views, and a welcoming atmosphere. The bar offers a wide variety of drinks and I highly recommend trying any of the seasonal cocktails. The peach mule was perfect for a warm summer afternoon.
I tried the Braised Tenderloin Tips & Gnocchi and it absolutely exceeded expectations. The foraged mushrooms were full of flavor and the handmade Gnocchi were cooked to perfection. The sauce was rich and well seasoned and the meat was moist and tender. The side salad came out with a good assortment of fresh greens, homemade croutons, and house made dressing. We also tried the Cheese Curds as an appetizer and my companion tried the El Pastor Tacos – both were a hit! For dessert we had the Peanut Butter Pie and one slice was perfect for sharing as it was incredibly rich!
Our server was thoughtful and attentive throughout the meal and the rest of the staff was incredibly friendly. We will definitely be returning!
**update – we came back for lunch and I will highly suggest the artichoke dip! It was unique and full of flavor – a great way to start a meal. I had the Cuban Burger with sweet potato fries and everything was cooked to perfection. My companion had the club sandwich (not toasted, by request) and the portion size was generous. The original 5 star review stands!

Beautiful restaurant overlooking the golf course designed by Arnold Palmer and Annika Soramstam. Food is very good and plated with eye appeal. Great service with a smile. The restaurant also has a large deck with a great view of the lake, the first hole, and a putting green.

We enjoy Arnie’s frequently while golfing at Royal or just coming out for a relaxing meal, and it’s a place we bring family and friends for a beautiful view and good food. The patio in the summer is one of our favorite spots in the Woodbury/Lake Elmo area, overlooking the course and lake. The indoor restaurant and bar are nice if not too crowded, when it can get hard to hear. We highly recommend the bulgogi rice bowl, braised tenderloin tips & gnocchi, or the walleye dinner entrees as those are our faves, but really all the food is delicious. Shout out to our favorite server MARIN, who always recognizes us as frequent guests and takes great care of us! Also a shout out to MEREDITH, Royal’s event manager, if you’re looking for a fantastic place to book a wedding, wedding reception or any other event. We worked with her in 2019 for our daughter’s wedding and could not have been more pleased with the venue, and especially her wonderful care and attention to detail for our event!

We had the most beautiful night to sit on this patio! The atmosphere is very modern but very friendly and the view from the patio was amazing! The food and service were excellent. I had the Butternut Squash Tortellacia and it was fantastic!

I’ll start by saying the food is wonderful, as are the cocktails! On the evening we were there, service was quite slow. The restaurant was not crowded but there was a wedding reception down the hall, so that may have made service slower. Also, the restaurant has a modern design, and feels very sterile and bright. Some might like that, but it did not give a romantic or intimate feel for our date night. I’d recommend turning the lights down about 30%.

If anybody’s out there looking for a new restaurant to try this is the one! I’ve eaten all over the Eastern side of the cities and this is one of the top five best places I’ve found. The presentation the food is so good that you may want to just sit there and look at it rather than eat it. Amazing flavors different spins great pricing. They completely and apparently changed their chef and he is amazing. If you’ve been here before come back and give it one more try and if you never been here before take it opportunity and try it just one time you will be amazed. No I do not work for these guys but I really want to see it succeed because the food is that good. It deserves to be one of the top restaurants in the area.

Love to golf here. Love the patio. Loved it when it was Tartan. When I want a nice place to eat and have cocktails – Arnie’s is not it. They attempt to look higher end but finishes are cheap. Wine cellar is near empty. Spirits in the bar – never seen a skinnier selection. Bartender doesn’t know how to make a manhattan…not to mention the place does not have the right cherries…cheap. Bartender was eating food at the bar. This will not be our place for drinks and dinner. What a disappointment- take your money elsewhere. I could not imagine if I had a million dollar house on this golf course and that was the neighborhood restaurant – I would be beyond upset.

Very cool place, great atmosphere and fun experience. Great menu and what we had tasted amazing although my “rare” steak was closer to medium. My only complaint was the slow service on this night. Our beverages would be empty for a while before the server returned. Courses were spaced out nicely but waiting for drinks is never fun. I’m sure this was probably just a fluke and woukd definitely be back again.
