Since the restaurant has changed owners/names, the food seems to have changed with it. The menu is HUGE, too many selections and is very overwhelming to try and choose from. Chips and salsa which are a big deal for me, have been stale the last 2 visits and the salsa is either way too salty, or not enough. Ordered the carne asada tacos, they were so dry and overcooked with little flavor. I was an every Sunday dine in, but after the last 3 visits, I’m going to give it a break for a while. Such a pity, because it once was a great place to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisines.
(Also, below pics are from when the food was great, Miranda’s Mexican Restaurant)
Since changing to new owners food is bland , burnt or old.
We always ordered quesabirria ( bland, no flavor, and pozole was just grease )
The hopes tasted old and chewy
The sauce for the ships became to spicy
It’s not worth it anymore.
The two starts are for their hibiscus drink and the rice.
On the menu it kept says homemade tortillas… why the false advertising? They were far from fresh or homemade.
We arrived on Cinco de Mayo expecting it to be packed but to our surprise it wasn’t too bad and not as packed as most restaurants around town which was surprising to see that our service was soo bad.
The other staff did fairly well, the bus boy and girls did a great job but I can’t say the same for our waitress. I felt as if she might’ve had too many things going on at once. Our orders were messed up and we didn’t even get some of the food we ordered. She must’ve not put it in. If you’re not going to write orders down, Atleast come back and ask if we are missing anything (which she did not). We asked for our check which she brought 10 minute later and never came back to pick up the card nor did she retrieved the To go box we requested. Fortunately the buss girl was able to take care of those 2 things.
The food was very bland, and I’m not sure how authentic it was but definitely not what I’m used to. We ordered the chimichanga and the chicken fajitas and neither were anything to rave about. The chips were cold and kind of old/stale. I highly recommend finding a way to keep them warm and fresh.
Over all, as I mentioned above, I’m leaving this facility 2 stars. Waitress service was very poor and the food wasn’t good enough to help this restaurant get anything above a 2.
This is a new restaurant but they have some work to do. I will not be visiting them again, nor do I recommend it to anyone.
