Tried La Fuentes tonight. I heard they had good food. Everything was served hot and fresh. Our server was nice and friendly.
The food we had was Ok, but it lacked flavor. They had a variety of drink specials listed. However, we didn’t indulge. The portions were huge, and they had nice prices for the portions.

Friendly service from the hostess, servers, and manager.. the team did an excellent job quickly accommodating our good sized party. Food is fresh and delicious, and comes out quickly. I really like the spicy salsa and loved the ceviche and chile rellenos.. the margs are good and there are daily specials.

Had a great experience and will definitely be back!

First off I’d like to say I take my rating of Mexican food seriously. This place was decently busy and our waitress was a bit busy but that wasn’t an issue. I felt like everything I got here was super salty. I did order a side of quesso for the chips and it wasn’t as good as I hoped for. The salsa was decent but could have been less watery. I tried the chicken soup and my god was it salty!! I did order a margarita and the first sip I took was like a tablespoon of salt that was left at the bottom of the cup. Very bad first impression of this place. Not sure I want to return.

Food was great.

Honestly though, they could have served me room temperature oatmeal and I still would have given 5 stars.

I’m a firm believer that hospitality is what makes or breaks a restaurant, and this place showed it in spades. (Shouts to Marissa).

This place makes me happy I moved to Affton. I’ll be back.

Chile rellenos were delicious! Kayleigh took great care of us and makes the best margaritas!

We come here all the time with friends because the food and margaritas are so good. Service can be hit or miss sometimes, but we always receive our food and drinks quickly. Pollo casa is a fan favorite as are the raspberry margaritas. We really like the complimentary chips and salsa and usually order a side of queso as well. Our kids especially love the robot that brings out the food!

I love the tamales!
EDIT on 8/28/2022…New menu (tiny print), higher prices! I guess its expected these days. You can still order from the a la carte menu. However, you now must get 2 or 3 of that item, which of course, means paying more. My wife & I used to be able to get a good meal here for about $15 total. (We always drink water) You’ll be hard pressed to find an entree for less than $15. On this latest visit we got the a la carte enchiladas and quesadillas. $22 after tip. Everything was kind of a one note flavor. You still get the free chips & salsa! Our waitress Maria was prompt, kind and joyful.
EDIT on 5/2/21…Tried the carry out here today and it was AWFUL! What I ordered: 2 ala carte tamales, soft taco, chili relleno. What I got: four tamales which normally have a meat/chili sauce that were covered in something that looked like grease. A taco with very stale “soft shell”. And a relleno that looked nothing like what we have had before and was cold. Everything tasted like it had been sitting for quite a while. The best thing was the chips & salsa. The pics actually make the food look better than it was. We have eaten in the dining room many times and have never had a bad meal. Maybe carry out is not the way to go here.

We ordered shrimp/fish tacos, steak fajita quesadilla and a Chile relleno. This was good but not my favorite Mexican restaurant. The first set chips we had were a little stale. Food takes a little longer to get to you than most but still tastes great. They had a nice patio on the side but it was closed due to inclement weather.
