I have been here many times for lunch and a couple times for dinner. The lunch specials are great value, and everything I have tried was great. I really like the chile verde burrito and sometimes get the chile relleno combination if I am feeling peckish. The chips are thick and crunchy, the salsa has a wonderful spicy kick that you don’t see a lot of at most restaurants. If you prefer light and crispy chips that come out hot, you might be a little disappointed. The beans and rice are great too, though I usually put some hot sauce on the rice. I love coming here, the service is amazing and I always leave satisfied!

I didn’t snap any photos of my food there because I was too busy savoring it. I ordered three tacos—lengua, al pastor, and cabeza. They were generously sized for $3.50 each, and the meat was bursting with flavor. The salsa and chips were a hit too, and I couldn’t resist taking home some birria tacos and flan. The waitress being bilingual was a nice touch, especially since I brought my American wife along.

The reviews on here are really good and a friend highly recommended this place. We went on Saturday to check it out and I was really disappointed. The staff was VERY nice-I will give them a lot of credit for that! However, the food was horrible. The chips and salsa were cold and didn’t taste appetizing. I got beef fajitas. This picture shows all the meat I couldn’t eat because it was too fatty. The fat was everywhere, too, so you couldn’t really cut around it. There was no sour cream or guacamole and there was no cheese. I thought for sure an authentic Mexican restaurant wouldn’t leave me wanting for cheese. The fajitas were kind of dry and underwhelming. My friend got the #1 combo plate and said it wasn’t awful but nothing was really good either. Neither of us would be interested in coming back. I wanted to leave a review just to represent that it didn’t meet our expectations, sadly.

It was our first time coming here. Oddly it was because another Mexican restaurant was backed up and I was sooo in the mood for a great Mexican dinner. I was not disappointed. The wait was not bad at all, the normal about 15 minutes. The chips were fresh and crispy. Not oily like some other places. Just right!! The salsa had some heat to it. THANK YOU!!! To many places think mild is the way to be. It was just right. Didn’t burn the mouth out but had the zing. We got the chimichanga and enchilada combo. Both with the shredded beef. These things were fat and plump. A lot of beef in them. The guacamole was fresh and tasty. This meal was tasty all the way down to the refried beans and rice. A really good portion of tasty food and an excellent price. Inside the building is more of that hole in the wall feeling. So if you are looking for high end this is not it. It is that down to home comfortable feeling. As I was walking out a man came in to play the guitar for live music. This place is a hidden gem. I can’t wait to go back. Thank you for the great dinner.

I’m so sorry that I have not left a review before because I have been enjoying their food for years! The food and service from this family owned and run restaurant is truly second to none in this valley, and among Mexican food, in my humble opinion it is THE BEST! The make everything from scratch. Their chips, sauces, tortillas are so good and their recipes and spicing for the meats are magnificent!
One of the ways I personally judge a Mexican place is by their Al Pastor and by their Carne Asada. Las Cazuelas has some of the best I have ever had, even while in Mexico. Many of my friends say the same and with see why I’ve never taken them there before.
Tonight I had the super nachos with Al Pastor and it was spectacular!! There was all the good stuff in every bite.
When you get a hankering for some good Mexican, give this place a try! You won’t be sorry. A day without good Mexican food is like a day without sunshine!

I ordered a smothered chile verde chicken burrito. It was quite tasty, really fat, but maybe a little pricey at $13. This was the first time I went in. I will go back.

I loved this place because everything was so yummy and fresh. Freshly made tortillas? What else can you ask for. I got their pescado empapelado which is a fish and veggies steamed in foil paper.

This place is a hole in the wall. I ordered the carne asada plate and the combo #6 which includes a flauta (I ordered chicken), a chile relleno, and rice and beans. The carne asada had a lot of fat and gristle but the combo was delicious! I would recommend this place for the food and great service.
