Great place to eat. The food is always great, service is amazing, and priced fairly. We eat here often.

We were celebrating one of our dear friend’s birthday. We gathered at Las Carreras Mexican Restaurant. Jasmin was our server for a total of 8 adults. She did a great job. The food was delicious & the cost was very reasonable. I had the shrimp & chicken fajita plate w/Spanish rice, beans, salad, pico de gallo & guacamole. Yum yum. Always enjoy the food & fellowship with wonderful friends.

Solid spot for all your Tex Mex favorites. I tried the nachos compuestos with beef fajita. There is a lot of meat and it was tender and flavorful. The chips didn’t exactly hold up so I would probably just order a fajita plate or tacos next time. My carne guisada taco was perfect with a nice fluffy flour tortila. Service was friendly. Prices are right.

It’s a lot of food for a fair price, but it’s just alright. The al pastor was cooked well but wasn’t even close to the correct marinade/flavor. The tamale was dry, the marinade of the beef just okay, and nothing really knocked our taste buds out. It’s just fine. Not bad, not great, but okay. Service is definitely friendly!

We had a group of approximately 40 people. They did an excellent job accommodating us. Service was excellent, efficient, courteous, and friendly. The food was great. Everyone had chicken and beef fajitas with cheese enchiladas, rice, and beans. Of course, for tortillias and complementary chips and salsa.

Over all an OK spot for some TexMex. The corn tortilla chips were nice and crisp. The red salsa had a bit more tang than the green salsa. The homemade corn tortillas were a big plus. I had the combo plate with two cheese enchiladas, a beef crispy taco, rice, and beans. All was good except that the beef taco meat was mixed with potatoes and had no flavor. I just don’t know why Mexican restaurants in San Antonio don’t add some seasoning to the beef taco meat. The potato makes it go farther but it not worth ruining the beef. Also, would be beneficial to serve the taco on a separate plate. My plate had the taco lying in the meat sauce and so one side just got soggy.
My wife got the lengua and scrambled eggs with side of beans and papas. She didn’t like the lengua. No taste and the same for the papas.
Probably not going back. Sorry.

The Food was awesome. We were there for a party in their party room. The room was full and the staff still managed to be accommodating, quick and friendly.
I wish I had tried the baked goods in the case, they looked amazing. I will be back to try them for sure!

It was nice little spot for lunch , It was my first time here so I went with the enchiladas to be on the safe side and the rice and beans, fresh tortillas and of course I tasted the mole as well and that had a great taste not spicy which is good for me. San Antonio always has some good Mexican places I haven’t been disappointed yet.

I really wanted to like this place because it’s always busy. Our server was great but the food was horrible. The chips were greasy so we asked if they had some that didn’t have too much grease and we were told they were all like that. I ordered the tortilla soup man I regret it. The first taste I took I tasted something spoiled. Man I was so disappointed. I got sick later that day and I couldn’t sleep at all that night! My husband got the combo plate and his taco shell was badly burned. Definitely not coming back!
