I had a great breakfast here on a bright Saturday morning. The staff was inviting, and our group was seated promptly. The interior is beautifully designed and creates a wonderful atmosphere. Most importantly, the food was amazing. If you’re looking for a carnitas spot, this is the place! My friends and I ordered 2 pounds of carnitas and absolutely devoured it. The prices were very reasonable for the amount of food we got. A fantastic addition to the Little Village neighborhood!

Great, food, service, and drinks. Lots of free parking . They now have two lots, look for their signs. We had a pound of carnitas, nopales, and 5 drinks. Under $80 . Carnitas come with tortillas, green and red salsa, and chicharones and more.

Heard and read all the reviews of this place and had to give them a try. We came specifically for the brain tacos (tacos de sesos), let me tell you they did not disappoint. The carnitas are awesome and with all the garnishment they were fantastic. Will definitely be back!

This was a little bit of Mexico in Chicago. The atmosphere the decor, the little plastic plates to the way that garden does the tortillas and the hot peppers were served. Just all reminded us of a restaurant in Mexico City. I just have two suggestions for the restaurant. The Carnitas and tortillas get cold too fast on the table because they are uncovered., I would just suggest to buy those Mexican tortilla holders to keep the tortillas warm. and to keep the Carnitas in aluminum foil as is traditional for take out. The second observation is that the price of non-alcoholic drinks like the Horchata were on the high side. If I go down the street and ask for a large drink, I will get nearly a liter worth of a drink the same price. Lastly, the salsas need more kick otherwise offer mild and hot. Nonetheless, neither of these things will keep us from coming back again. We really enjoyed ourselves and everything was delicious.

3 different locations in Chicago, the quality is the same in all!
These are the most delicious Carnitas in the entire United States!
It’s a MUST TRY if you’re ever in town!
The only other place I’ve had equally good tasting carnitas is in Quiroga Michoacan.

They are the worst carnitas I have eaten, they serve it cold and tasteless, the sauces that are not tasty, they taste more sugar than spicy. Their specialty is supposed to be carnitas, but they are far from that, they are not recommended.

I am still in disbelief at how amazing this place was. The restaurant was squeaky clean, and the service was amazing. The staff was so welcoming and even cracked a couple jokes. The prices were fantastic for the portions served. By far the best cafe de olla I’ve had in Chicago. The food was spot on. I ordered carry out and they made sure I was well equipped with limón, cebolla, cilantro, and enough sauce. These are the kind of restaurants that make Chicago the food capital in the world. Everyone must try them.

Don’t waste your time going anywhere else for Carnitas. They have the best anywhere, in my opinion. I didn’t like the guacamole though, but the salsas were on point. I stop in for lunch any chance I get.
I’m full off 1 taco, but always get two because they’re hard to stop eating.

Amazing Carnitas and chicharrones. We ordered to -1lb of carnitas, and you can chose what cut you want and we decided to get all 3 cuts because why not? Meat was tender and flavorful, along with the assortments of salsas and limes. Didn’t enjoy the dorados tried all 3.

The space is new and absolutely beautiful inside. Didn’t even get any pictures of the carnitas Cuz I ate them too quick. Salsas are great food is delicious. My tiniest quibble is the fact that all the cilantro onions and salsa come in plastic containers
