Our appetizer was ok but the 2 entrees of lobster and fish were not only disappointing but also super expensive and just not worth it. Also they brought out a tiny dressing for 2 salads and I asked for more and they ended up charging for it?! It was their mistake for not giving enough in first place. Never going back.

Absolutely delicious! The pupusas were fresh, cheesy, and full of flavor — you can tell they make everything from scratch. The curtido had the perfect tang, and the horchata was super refreshing. Staff was friendly and made us feel at home. Authentic Salvadoran taste! Will definitely be back.

For the people complaining about the price and or the waitress at the cashier , maybe you should think about how the owner decides everything/ prices and not the cashier. This place has always been amazing. I think it is crazy for someone to leave a bad review because of the price. If you can’t afford don’t go out. Simple as that. I will always stand by how amazing this restaurant has been.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY
Came here from NC, in an attempt to get hispanic food I ended up getting the worst service I’ve had in my life. Food was decent, if you dont mind waiting a long time and paying extra (30 per person at least) then this is your place, Keep in mind that the daughter of the owner will try her best to overcharge you, and she will overcharge you. Pupusas are not authentic. The only food you should be getting here are empanadas, anything else taste like nothing special.

Came to hempstead seeking Latino food and was actually looking for another spot that I had been to a few years ago when we stumbled on this cute corner spot. We ordered two mixed puposas with cheese, chiccaron and beans and one with cheese and loroco which the lady told me was a flower that gave it a unique taste! Awesome. Something new to me and worth a shot for $2. As per any good pupusa place you wait as your puposas are made to order! We enjoyed both kinds although the bean/pork rind and cheese one wasn’t as good as our favorite spot in Jamaica queens it was still quite tasty and only 1.50. The loroco and cheese was delicious and subtle but really good. Score a new food find!

Terrible food and service took forever to get my check paid 30 dollars for a soup that only had 2 shrimps and 2 clams and watered down juice

It’s a little slice of El Salvador. It is a bit small so I’m busy days you may have to wait to be seated. I’ve had pupusas, steak, platos typicos, grilled chicken and fish. All of them are great. I’ve been coming here for years.

I love their salvadorean breakfasts. If you want to have authentic salvadorean dishes, this is the place. Keep in mind they only take cash. This is a small cozy family restaurant that serves great variety of food. Their ensalada de fruta juice is perfect. Pupusas are very tasty and their breakfast dishes taste just like back home. You should definitely give this place a try!

Don’t get me wrong this place has amazing Salvadorian Food for either Brunch or Dinner.
But the times we have been there they are locking their doors 45 to an hours before they close. The listing is saying 6:15pm closing but closing an hour early is bad for business because they are losing business.
