First time ordering. They didn’t give me what I ordered and the food was soooo cold. it’s not that cold out anymore so I can’t blame that. The rice was hard, and the meat taste old.I haven’t tasted the rest yet, but I’ll update.

I’ve come here a couple of times already & I will say each time, the food is phenomenal. I’ve tried the regular chicken and the BBQ chicken and they were both good, very flavorful. Prices are reasonable as well. I will say, I wish the service was better. The employees seem like they don’t want to be there, like they’re rushing the customers out but it could have been just the people there on the two days I went. Definitely would still recommend coming and trying their food.

I read prior reviews stating “best pernil in Jersey City” and was super excited to try. What I received for my $28 was disappointing and barely a meal. Placed an order for two takeout of pernil with rice and beans and 2 beef empanadas. When I arrived home, I found the meal was 90% rice with very few actual beans and a bunch of bean gravy soaked into it. The whole dish was flavorless and mushy. There was a tiny portion of pernil tucked into the corner. The pernil itself was dry and flavorless. I’ve been to dozens of latin restaurants all over New Jersey and New York but have never experienced one that doesn’t package the beans separately for take out. On the flip side, the beef empanadas were great, super light and crispy shell with flavorful generous beef filling. I may stop in for the empanadas but will not order meals here again. Giving two stars instead of one due to the empanadas. Service was fine, not great. Dining room floor was a little dirty, tables looked clean.

Ordered one turkey bacon, egg, and cheese salt, pepper ketchup mayo with home fries. From the start, there was a clear lack of listening. I was repeatedly asked if I wanted two sandwiches (I said no), and home fries were confused with French fries—both over the phone and with another employee.
I went in person to avoid mistakes, confirmed the order again, and was still given two sandwiches. When I opened it, it was also missing mayo. They added mayo, but poorly (basically dumped on). When I asked for the manager, the person claimed to be the manager but showed no engagement, no eye contact, and no effort to ensure the order was correct.
This wasn’t a single mistake—it was a consistent failure to listen or communicate. Very disappointing service.

I’m dominican so for the regular customer is great. Low salt consistent flavor. For me personally y like a lot of seasoning on my food. The empanadas, alcapurrias where over fried NOT MY FAVORITE that was the only complain butttt… it was PACKED!!!!! LOTS OF VARIAITY OF REAL FOOD NO BOX FOOD.

If you are not Hispanic don’t go there they will NOT respect you as a person. They ignore black people when they’re trying to order and smile and are really friendly with other Hispanic people while being rushing and dismissive with others. There’s been many times I ordered over the phone and tried to pick up in restaurant and stood in line and despite the order being ready they will call everyone else, even taking new orders before just handing me my food. I’ve given them multiple chances because their food is good but their body language and customer service (unless you’re visibly Hispanic)is terrible. They just don’t have any respect for black customers.
