This place is truly a hidden gem! The food is absolutely amazing, and the service is warm, friendly, and welcoming. As a Yankie, I was thrilled to find pickled herring on the menu—it’s the only place around that serves it, and it was delicious! Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and genuine hospitality.

Unassuming, blink and you’ll miss it from the outside but don’t let that put it off. Walk inside to a welcoming family run eating place filled with nostalgia and good food. Very diverse menu – breakfast and lunch. Lunch had everything from BBQ to Italian Wrap to the obligatory hamburgers and hot dogs. We got the burger and dog with fries and all was delicious. Definitely going to take the drive from Ahoskie again!

Wether you are a local or just passing by, Larry’s is a great choice for a quick, affordable, and tasty meal. Old school country vibes and top notch service give this small stop so much character. We will absolutely be returning. Pictured is minced pork bbq covered in slaw and onion rings.

I’m never sure how to rate a place like this. It’s a downhome comfortable dinner with a lot of folks who regularly visit. For dinner, it should get five stars all around. Breakfast is always soul-warming – mainly eggs, pancakes, and French toast, with coffee refills. Lunch offers everything from BLTs, burgers, soups, and sides. I especially appreciate the women who wait on the tables. They are fast and efficient. I always feel welcomed here and am never disappointed.

Tiny place by the river, I arrived at 6:30 am on a Tuesday and found three tables full of regular customers. Nothing fancy, just fresh food, well prepared. Proprietor Stephanie is kind, beautiful and almost as charming as daughter Hailey (9) working the register. Locals come and order the usual; they know the best places to go.

Very good place to eat. Very nice restaurant drive in right near the perquiman’s river. Right at the new s-bridge. Delicious fried oysters, French fries, coleslaw, hush puppies and sweet tea. Very nice people there. Stays really busy. Really good prices. Very nice atmosphere
