What a stroke of good luck. Was driving today in an area where I hardly ever am. Stumbled upon Larry Joe’s and what a blessing.
I went with a black pepper sausage. It was grilled to absolute perfection. Smoky, charred, delicious outside, with juicy, flavorful and succulent insides. The mustard blend they use, and the house made relish, were outstanding compliments.
Fresh grilled bun was the cherry on the top.
I’ll be certain to return to this area, can’t wait to have another Larry Joe’s.

Not your average hotdog truck!! These might be the best dogs I’ve ever had. We both went up for seconds. The grilled Pastrami was amazing. The choice of toppings were A+, especially the hot pepper salad provided quite the kick. 10/10! If you ever see Larry Joes, stop for a bite!

Wood fired grilled hot dogs and sausages that are in a class by themselves. A little off the beaten path, but so worth a visit. Great friendly service and exceptional food. This is a hot dog trailer – come for dogs, cans of soft drinks and bags of chips. They really do one thing (a few actually, since there are variations on the dogs & sausages), but what they DO, they do SO well.
I can’t recommend too highly.

If I could rate this place as 6 stars, I would. I’ve never had a better hot dog in my life, and my husband said the same about their hot sausage. Larry makes hot dogs, sausages, and pastrami. That’s it, and it’s amazing. His setup is like a food truck, but don’t be dissuaded from trying it! He’s also a really cool dude. 100% would go back again. Miss the place already!!

We stopped by on our way home from the zoo and my daughter was very on the fence about a place that only offers hot dogs since they are not her favorite. She took one bite and walked up to the truck to tell the guys working that it was the best hot dog she ever had. My husband demolished his 1/2 lb chili dog with onions and I had a 1/4 lb dog with bbq sauce and onions.
You can tell when someone is proud of his business and loves his customers and the men working here were so good with customers. We pulled up to one on a keyboard singing to the customers who are eating their food. He saw my daughter dancing in her chair and had her get up and taught her a few new moves. Incredible place, wish there were more people in the food industry that treated customers like this and put so much love into their food.

Visited for the first time after seeing the segment on Phantom Gourmet and LOVED it. I wasn’t sure what to expect since Larry Joe’s is more of a “food truck” setup, but they are located right near a parking lot, so no issue there, with a lot of grass around for physical-distanced dining. Grouped chairs and small side tables are available. The pastrami and hot dogs are amazing, as are the condiments, especially their mustard blend (for both pastrami and hot dog). My wife thought the chili was a but too vinegar-y for her taste, but that’s subjective and no points are deducted. The owner (Larry Joe, I presume?) is a fantastic, charismatic character: as skilled with his small talk and his keyboard as he is with his wood-fired (really! in a food truck!) grill. The whole scene felt like somebody’s backyard party. We will definitely be back … as soon as possible.

Absolutely the best sausage sandwich I’ve ever had. He maranaids it overnight then smokes it on a grill. Service is absolutely the best by a veteran that I praise. … All around great quality meats as well as service. Very highly recommended

I’ve ordered delivery from this place throughout the pandemic after seeing the trailer parked in Mendon. Today, I made the trip to the trailer and got the full experience. For one thing, Larry Joe is a great man, talks to everyone, treats everyone like he’s serving food in his home. I got the 1/4 lb firedog, and off the fire to my mouth was the best hot dog experience I’ve had. The spiciness of the sausage mixing with sweet homemade relish, mustard, and fresh cut onion was perfect for a day like today. The sausage itself was smoky from the hickory burning under the grill, juicy, just amazing. I’m glad to have met Larry Joe and Christian. I’ll be back in person more often.
