Being from the south and venturing to Savannah frequently, we have seen The Grey many times. When we found out they had an outpost in Paris, it made for the best excuse (if one is ever needed) to take a trip to Paris! And we were not let down at all. The welcome and service were outstanding. The owner was in house while we were there and you can tell the love that he has for this city. The food was just the taste of home we were wanting, but with the quality and french flair that you expect! Add this quiet neighborhood gem to your list of places to eat at!

We dined at L’Arret last night and it was truly outstanding. I’d been wanting to try their Savannah location for a while, and have yet to had a chance, so I’m thrilled they opened a concept in Paris. The food was creative and inventive, and it really brings a fresh new flavor to the neighborhood. We had the duck, my husband went with the mac and cheese, and we shared the shrimp toast. Every dish was fantastic. Highly recommended!

We ate here in December and really enjoyed the shrimp on sweet potatoes. Simple, colorful and very tasty, perfect for a light healthy lunch..
Our neighboring table had a gorgeous roasted cod they said was delicious.
The pecan pie was very very good too!
The atmosphere and service are welcoming and charming. We look forward to returning this fall when we are back in Paris.

I ate there twice during my recent stay and my wife continues to go back. Mashama Bailey and her team have hit a home run. They didn’t reproduce The Grey but created a beautiful Parisian experience with the right touch of US Southern food. You are warmly welcomed and cared for during your visit. The food, wine and drinks are absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to get back to Paris and join my wife back here. The entire space is beautiful, we have eaten both upstairs and down in the cave, both are unique and beautiful. No matter the time of day your total experience will be fantastic!

Wonderful lunch experience. The French toast was creative and tasty and not too sweet. The shrimp with grits had amazing texture, sauce and flavor. I would definitely recommend the restaurant. The service was very friendly and that made it a very enjoyable experience.

With a recommendation from my sister and as an American with a background in food, I HAD to try L’arret to support Chef Mashama Bailey’s newest restaurant. Went for brunch, and turned out I had a private dining experience for almost my entire meal with Chef Bailey and her staff. The team was incredible. (I always am prepared for French only in Paris restaurants but they all were so kind and spoke English.) The food was lovely. I started with a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich followed by the coffee cake straight out of the oven and then after seeing the staff try (menu testing!) the French toast, I had to try it as well. I loved the bacon egg and cheese, definitely reminded me of home. The coffee cake was a bit underwhelming compared to the rest of the food (would work well for an afternoon tea as it is a marbled loaf cake). But the star of the show was the caramel pecan French toast. The cow on the menu is so cute as is the greyhound mascot!
Final thought: I highly recommend L’arret and will be back to continue my support for Chef Bailey and her team!

I came to Paris for a quick trip, and a friend surprised me with a dinner invitation. To my delight, the restaurant turned out to be L’Arrêt, where Chef Mashama Bailey was recently featured in the New York Times. Talk about an unexpected and very pleasant surprise.
We managed to get a reservation, and the place itself is charming — an intimate Parisian bistro with an open kitchen. The staff and service were excellent, warm and attentive. The neighborhood has a big American expat presence, and several of the staff spoke English, which added to the welcoming feel.
The highlight, of course, was the food. Every dish was layered with flavors — sauces, textures, and combinations that somehow felt both Parisian and straight out of Savannah, Georgia. We loved everything we tried, especially the desserts and the drinks. The wine list and cocktail selection were excellent.
To top it off, I had the chance to meet Ms. Bailey and her partner, Johno Morisano, which made the evening even more memorable.
Overall, an incredible experience. I’ll definitely be back!

Casual bistro serving solid meals, in a welcoming environment and very friendly staff. Stopped for lunch and got the entree and plat combo, which at 25 euros felt very affordable especially in this part of town. The veggie soup was tasty and nourishing, and the fish dish was really good as well. Definitely worth stopping by for a meal or drinks when in the area.

If this review is a duplicate consider it worth repeating that L’Arret is a destination for anyone who appreciates great cooking. I had the shrimp and grits and it was absolutely the best I’ve ever had. The finesse of the dish made it French. I am state side now and eager to go to The Grey.
