We dined at L’Arôme with fairly high expectations. The restaurant itself is beautiful and refined, very much what you’d expect from a Michelin-starred establishment in Paris. The decor is elegant and understated, creating a nice setting for what should have been a memorable dinner.

What puzzled me from the start was the seating. We arrived for our 7:30 reservation as the first guests of the evening, yet were placed at a small table right by the entrance while the rest of the dining room was empty. It felt odd. Maybe there was a reason, but it did cross my mind whether we simply weren’t given the better seats. Strangely, towards the end of the meal they asked us to move further inside the restaurant. It seemed like a gesture to give us a better table, but we hadn’t asked for it and honestly it felt unnecessary by that point. If that was the intention, it probably should have been done at the start.

Food-wise, the mains were well executed and what you’d expect from a one-star kitchen. Some starters were less convincing though. The curried crab felt fairly average. The bread was unfortunately the weakest part of the meal. For a French restaurant, it simply wasn’t very good, and I noticed several tables leaving most of it behind.

Service was decent but not particularly proactive. Explanations were minimal unless asked, and even the wine pairing only came up after we raised it ourselves.

Will I return? Maybe. But for this price point, they really need to step it up. I’ve dined at two and three starred restaurants that are far ahead in both food and service, and they cost less.

just wow. simply.. wow.

the food is absolutely breathtaking. the service is above expectations (considering this was a michelin restaurant…). it’s not cheap, but worth every euro.

the atmosphere, service, and how the chef takes care of you feels like home, rather than a luxurious experience. simply amazing.

We are visitors to Paris and we visit pretty much every other year if not more. The city is known for its gastronomy and we have tried all sorts of food in the City of Lights from cafes to 3 Michelin stars. This one is up there with the stars and I’m surprised it hasn’t got one. The food from start to finish was immaculately prepared. We were fortunate enough to get a table next to the kitchen and literally every single plate that was sent out was inspected by the Head Chef. In fact he played some of our courses himself. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. Merci chef and I look forward to seeing your many accomplishments in the future

We had a wonderful dinner in this 1-star michelin restaurant. We chose the standard option, and as a main menu, I chose veal.

The meal began with an array of appetizers that showcased the chef’s creativity and skill. Each dish was beautifully plated, with flavors that harmonized and delighted the palate. The main courses (veal) were equally stunning—perfectly cooked proteins paired with imaginative sides and sauces that elevated the experience to something truly extraordinary.

However, the dessert course was where the otherwise perfect evening faltered. While the presentation was impeccable, the flavors and textures didn’t quite match the high bar set by the preceding courses. The dessert lacked the complexity and balance I had come to expect throughout the meal, feeling a bit uninspired compared to the rest of the menu.

Despite this minor setback, it delivers an outstanding dining experience worthy of its Michelin star. It’s a destination I’d wholeheartedly recommend for anyone seeking a memorable culinary adventure, though perhaps with slightly tempered expectations for the final course.

No notes, everything was exquisite and excellent. Chef’s kiss, thank you chef and L’Arôme team for an unforgettable dinner for our whole family. I only wished I had a bigger stomach to try all of the cheeses!

Great restaurant! We enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the service. We took the 175 signature menu with dietary adjustments (pescatarians) and each dish was absolutely delicious. Definitely deserves a second Michelin star.

Amazing! This is the word to describe this experience. When we arrived, the owner came to our table and with a big smile explained all the details of the menu to us. The menu changes every day, and normally you have tw options for starters, two options for main course and two options for the dessert. All the dishes we had were perfect! Drinks were also very good! Staff was very nice and kind all the time. We really enjoyed this place.

Creative, unpretentious, delicious. High class service and setting with the social atmosphere of your favorite mom and pop restaurant.

The chef personally greeted me several times, invited me and others to sit and chat over wine, and clearly took pride in his work.

Made a reservation for 1 with little notice and had no issues.

There are hundreds of great restaurants in Paris, but you have to choose one. Stop looking and just go here, you won’t find a better experience.

A palace outside a palace.

Like many reviews, there’s a lot to say, so I’ll focus on one point that is striking. What’s striking here, it’s that you’re having a Palace level experience. It’s no surprise because both brigades (kitchen and dining) comes from the best palaces. The chef himself comes from the George V. But it’s not enough to explain such a level of quality and attention to detail. The extra touch was revealed to me when I had the good fortune to speak with the chef: he does really care about his team. And that makes a big difference (and not just in talent retention). It makes a difference because you can have a team of great talents performing to their best and delivering a top notch experience. I rarely saw such a brigade outside a palace. Have a look of the quality of execution of the starters for example. Look at the beauty and the size of the cheese trail. Admire the truffle, the nobility of some ingredients. Dive into the wine list and discuss with the sommelier. That’s Palace level my friends!
Don’t be intimidated, because true palaces staff have this extraordinary skill of making you feel at ease.
The crowd: I saw friends having a great time (may be colleagues have a too good of a time!), business and couples.
The mood: High end, design and yet, like in a Palace, you feel at home.

This is clearly at top tiers one star experience.
My experience: As usual, I always let of few days (even more) passes by before writing a review. Just to let it settle and see what’s left. Well, you’ll have great memories here. At least, I have. And isn’t it what we’re all looking for?

Update 2022:
Please note that the new pictures and videos are directly uploaded.

I went for dinner since I really appreciated when I went for lunch. You won’t be disappointed. Quite flavorful. The service is clearly on the high end for a one star, you even have a voiturier. It was actually more lively at night than during the lunch. I guess it’s a compliment to the wine list…
Bottom line we had a great evening.
It’s definitely a top tiers one star in my book

One of the best restaurant in Paris. From the beginning till the end everything was just perfect. The restaurant is relatively small but super cozy with a kitchen view. The service was perfect, with real professionals that make the experience even better. We went for lunch and ordered the lunch menu. Price are really decent for a Michelin star restaurant. The cheese platter was fabulous, each meals were extremely tasty and beautifully served. Great place, worth every cents !
