Love the cheeseburgers, chili (hot or mild) all beef hotdogs, daily special… Today was baked steak, mashed potatoes, roll, corn…warm brownies every day.. Very friendly service. Watch them cook your fresh hamburger. Give it a try!

I love their burgers! The fries were overcooked but I totally recommend burgers. I actually like them coming out to the car and taking our orders and delivering the food. Much better than having to run in. Hopefully they continue that after covid.

My family and I have been going to this Restaurant since the early 1980s when it was Yelkys. They have kept up the tradition of delicious cheeseburgers and HOT CHILI! You won’t find a better burger in the Mid Ohio Valley!!

Great food! Cheeseburgers are fantastic, do yourself a favor and get one loaded! All the normal toppings plus chili, slaw, and banana peppers. Yummy! Their chili is the original Yelki’s recipe, and soooo good! Stick with regular or ½&½, the hot will melt your face off. Enjoy!

The other day I was dying for a good hot dog. Every now and then…I just got to have one…(my favorite food)
I went to Larkys one of my favs in Parkersburg area. It was packed as usual. Hard to get street parking, and no parking lot. This is cash only establishment and very small.
I was greeted immediately and placed my order to go. I ordered 2 hot dogs with chili, slaw & onions with a can of RC Cola. Paid my $5 putting the assorted coins of change into tip jar. Stood back against wall to wait patiently.
The cook is extremely busy on his flat top, flipping burgers and whipping around like a weird dance…he has this to a science…very quick and orderly…you can tell this was not his first rodeo. The room was full of about 12 men, seated at squared counter top on stools laughing and chatting like winded up Chatty Cathy dolls. They were assorted styles of uniforms…policemen, city workers and Suits…everyone loves a good dog and burger!!
She put my food into bag to hand me. She smiled and said “I’m sorry but we ran out of slaw’. I have to admit some disappointing news but not a deal breaker. Don’t get me wrong, to me it’s not a hot dog unless fully dressed with Chili, Slaw & onions…but hey I like Chili Dogs too.
Thanked her and left with my brown lunch bag of Hot Steaming Goodness!!! Definitely going back….

Located in Parkersburg, WV
I kept driving by this little building along side a major traffic area and wondered WHY are all those cars fighting for just a few spots in front of the store….
So, one day there was an empty spot in front of the Bright Orange building SO I grabbed it. I called the number on the sign (Due to Covid-19 and small size ) NO ONE ALLOWED IN..
Very nice lady answered and I explained that I didn’t know exactly what they served…she gladly told me HOT DOGS!!! Oh boy was I excited!!! I ordered 2 with chili, slaw and onion and a large fountain Pepsi, taxes tip all together was $7 and that was with$2 tip… very nice price!! Great curbservice!!! And GREAT Food!!!!

Great local place for hamburgers and hotdogs. They also offer fries, cheese fries and chili cheese fries. I think the quality of their hamburgers and hotdogs is far superior to the Broadway Sandwich Shop. Some people may disagree. You can get them however you want them but you’d better be quick about it.
