The restaurant is quiet and the décor is unique, but the prices are on the higher side. The $47 seafood stew was especially disappointing — the portion was very small, and all the seafood was overcooked to the point where the texture became quite tough. The snails also did not taste fresh.

Overall, the environment is clean and peaceful, making it a nice place for small gatherings. However, most of the dishes were overly salty, and the seafood wasn’t very fresh. Ironically, the best thing we had was the bread.

Been coming here for years! It’s a family owned business and so you feel the extra TLC. Food, service and ambience are EXCEPTIONAL!

Pedro and his staff are top notch! When we’re in NY this is our place to enjoy a great meal with the old fashioned feel due to the dining room decor. Now the food review. Nothing here will disappoint you. Everything is cooked to perfection and like it just came off a boat or farm. We were in NY for 3 days and we ate here 3 times. The steak sandwiches for lunch are to die for. The bread is beyond fresh. Order a double espresso and sit back with a chocolate mousse dessert. Thank you Pedro & his amazing staff for always providing a wonderful experience. See you soon!

Been here twice: Once before COVID with my co-workers, once after COVID with my family. I seem to remember the food being quite a bit better the first time.

For my second visit, I ordered the Bacalhau a Narcisa. That was a mistake. I wish I’d ordered the Bacalhau Assado na Brasa instead. Though constantly picking bones out of my meal aside, the fish itself was pretty bland. My brother also thought his meal was bland (he ordered the Paelha). He didn’t even want to take his leftovers home.

The restaurant was also uncomfortably warm the whole time. It was a mild day, and yet it didn’t feel like the AC in the place was turned on at all. I nearly complained to our waiter.

I might be willing to give this place one more shot, but definitely for dinner. And I don’t think I’ll be going with the bacalhau next time.

Really great food! Every dish was delicious and reasonably priced. Only downside I would say is the wait time, but if you have a long night and time to kill, it’s a great place to visit!

We got lost twice as our navigation took us to a wrong location, then using our phone we drove past it yet again but thankfully hubby saw their inconspicuous signage the 2nd time around. Their storefront looks rather uninviting and closed off by walls and you cant see into the restaurant. I believe they have 2 separate doors(one may lead into a bar setting, the other to a formal dining room, both areas are connected by a casual dining area. Only street parking is available-old meters using coins only. The restaurant was more than happy to exchange our bills for coins. There were 2 dining rooms -one more formal and the other was brighter, more casual with a tv set on a Portuguese speaking channel.

2 types of complimentary breads, olives, butter and a jug of iced water w lemon was served before our order. We ordered LULAS GRELHADAS grilled squid in olive oil & garlic, Junior Paella and CAMARAO AO ALHO pan seared shrimp in garlic sauce. Seafood was fresh, perfectly cooked and flavored. Everything was delicious. We’re looking forward to dining here again.

I recently placed an order with this restaurant for a friend who had just lost her father. Pedro was incredibly kind, helpful, patient, and always available to answer my questions. He took the time to help me put together an order and made sure everything was delivered smoothly. His kindness and professionalism really stood out! The food here is delicious and the service is the best! Highly recommend!

Really good, authentic food. Really makes me think like “Mom made it”. This is a family-owned restaurant and they take really good care of their clients like if they were their family. Try their francesinha and you won’t regret it
