We stopped here for lunch and were surprised to find they charge for chips and salsa: the first I’ve encountered in the US.
The food was okay but a bit bland. The wife had a chimichanga while I had the tamale, enchilada plate. It was rather bland to our tastes to be honest. Perhaps the locals like their food blander than Texas: I don’t know for sure.
It was alright though and the service was fine. We ate and moved on.

You see a one star but no one star given on any of the categories That’s because a real Mexican restaurant does not charge for chips and salsa That’s a given no matter what Mexican restaurant you go to even the high dollar ones. I gave the food a three because to me it was very small portion for the price. The service was good. And it’s a nice location and it’s very quaint. Maybe because I’m from Texas I don’t believe in charging for chips and salsa That’s a no-no.

This is truly a gem, one of a kind. Great location in old downtown El Dorado the patio is old and historic. The vibe is relaxed and conversable the food is best in town.

If you want chips and salsa and to sit outside this is the place.
I got the #7 lunch combination. The price was good, but the food was just your run of the mill tex/mex.
Service was attentive.
Atmosphere was good and they have a nice outdoor area.

We stop in Laredo Grill on the way to visit relatives just for the Crack Dip. Always good. This visit service was not very good. Waitress took a while to come to Table. Forgot to place drink order. Not very attentive. Middle of afternoon so not busy. Disappointed that they no longer serve frozen margaritas.

We were in El Dorado just for a quick, unexpected 24 hour visit. Laredo Grill did not disappoint. Being from the city living elsewhere I still think about the Papa Laredo potato on occasion. As simple as it is, it just hits the spot with the right amount of cheese and meat. We also had the crack dip! Which, you can probably see from the photo we dug into before I even got a good picture it was so tasty!
Overall the wait staff was nice; we showed up later and got to sit out on the patio. The atmosphere of the square is hard to beat. Overall it was a great time!

Unfriendly waitress, and the “sirloin” was definitely not a sirloin but cheap stew meat. Is reflected in the price, but honestly could make a better steak from Walmart. Asparagus that came with it was drenched in oil and bland. Hamburgers/fries were much better and worth the cost.

When you walk threw the doors it’s more of the bar atmosphere. there is a patio which it does have heated or fan dining area which also a few TV and music playing. Very quite atmosphere. The food is good and more then plenty. So stop by an give them a try
