It’s good. Might be missing some veggies in the sandwich but there is so much you can put in without making it too messy. My only issue is I wish I can try others. I will be back. Not sure if they could make sliders like a trio. What the spud was a bit soggy but good. Very filling. They use good ingredients. Thank you.

Bistec was loaded with ingredients, spam was pretty simple with a few. A was more of a fan of the spam, they didn’t have a non-pork/beef sandwich so I went with brisket
Ube affogato was great! I’d say let It melt for longer to allow the soft serve to spread out more
Thoroughly enjoyed this place and the service provided. 2 of them were busy but they finessed ! Thank you

This is my absolute favorite breakfast sandwich shop in Maryland! I found it searching for Ube flavored items. I quickly learned that Ube is commonly used in Filipino cuisine so it didn’t take me long to find Lapu Lapu. It is hidden away in the Kentland Shopping Center. The hours are only for breakfast and lunch so get there early and double check the day of the week. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Customer service is always great. The inside of the kitchen/ordering station is loud but the employees are always friendly with great recommendations. I have met the owner before and he is always kind and welcoming.
The restaurant’s seating area is nicely decorated and welcoming. Often, I plan to take it to go but once I am there, I am inclined to sit and enjoy my fresh sandwich and Ube affogato or soft serve ice cream.
The chicken lumpia is a great appetizer with a sweet sauce on the side. The spam sandwich is great. The bistek sandwich is my favorite. Both sandwiches usually end in a mess but a delicious mess, nonetheless.
Definitely recommended.

I stopped by Lapu Lapu on a sunny weekend morning and had such a great experience. It’s a casual spot that operates out of a small kitchen window with just a few outdoor tables. I ordered the Spam breakfast sandwich, which was around $11, and it was delicious. The bread was toasted just right, the Spam had crispy edges, and the sauce added the perfect savory kick. It was surprisingly filling and totally hit the spot.
They offer both Filipino-inspired and American-style breakfast sandwiches, so there’s something for every kind of craving. You can tell they put real thought into the flavors. There’s also a small sign by the window that shares the story behind the name Lapu Lapu—a Filipino hero who resisted colonization—which adds a meaningful cultural touch.
Service was quick—I got my food within 10 minutes, even with a few people ahead of me. It’s a great option if you want something fast but flavorful. I sat outside since it was a nice day, and the vibe was super relaxed.
I’ll definitely be back to try more sandwiches and their ube ice cream next time. Perfect for a quick grab-and-go breakfast or a casual weekend bite.

Outdoor seating only, walk-up window to order. They offer some seating or you can take to-go. Their sandwiches were unique and creative- definitely egg forward. Very big and filling! The Ube soft-serve is also highly recommended for a little treat!

They recently changed reward program so now you have to spend $260 to get a free sandwhich when it used to be almost half that.
Won’t honor the stamps you’ve collected and instead gives you’d $10 worth of points. Seems kinda harsh to loyal customers who collect the stamps.

Amazing!! Sandwiches are so flavorful, always my go-to spot in the area. They’re like burgers but more delicious. Very friendly too. Tried the soft serve and other stuff here and there, everything is good.

Lapu Lapu offers a really good experience, especially with their unique Filipino breakfast sandwiches, which are a fantastic way to try something different for breakfast. The menu is quite extensive, and the tater tots are great – truly excellent. I appreciate the walk-up window setup and the abundance of outdoor seating, making it perfect for enjoying the weather. And for a sweet finish, their ube soft serve ice cream is a must-try dessert.

Both of the sandwiches benefit from the fluffiest, tastiest toasted bun. Don’t sleep on the bun. And the eggs were soft and fluffy as well, really good complement to the main fillings.
As for the filling, I wasn’t as impressed with the corn beef itself, it just tasted a bit bland and could have used some sauce or a bit more flavor in general.
But the chorizo one was next level, set off by the Lapu Lapu sauce. Yum. Perfectly tender patty with a lot of flavor on its own.

Their sandwiches are so flavorful and hearty. My favorite is the paksiw with braised pork and pickles. But every sandwich has a generous filling, you will definitely need extra napkins! And the buns themselves are my favorite, always warm, light and fluffy. If I could have a giant one, I would sleep on it like a pillow
