I just came across town for this food because honestly my regular spot off 12 mile and mound was closed today. I haven’t been here a while but the last time I came it was great. I don’t know what’s going on but maybe it needs some different cooks. I ordered Mac n cheese; which was very distasteful, along with cabbage that was good. Lastly turkey wings and honestly it was bland and a bit dry highly disappointing because I was really looking forward to some soul food. For the prices of my meals I ordered I expected a 10/10. Never again I’ll stick to what I know they never disappoint and I go all the time! You guys should check out the one on 12 mile and mound 10/10 and the prices are wayyyyy better

This place is amazing! My family, boyfriend and his family eat here anytime we do not feel Ike cooking and this place hits the spot every time. The food is always prepared fresh, flavorful, and delicious to the T. The people in this establishment are so warm, welcoming and generous. Depending on the face pace of the day they tend to always make you feel as if they’re talking and preparing the meals just for you. I recommend this place to everyone I know!

Order the rib tip dinner with mac & cheese. Mac & cheese is in bad but the rib tips were terrible. They’re like 85 to 90% fat and gristle barely any meat. What is shame cause I’ve been looking forward to trying them too. I won’t order them again though.

I have been to Lape’s several times but on this particular day. I ordered a Turkey dinner and the meat was not fresh. I called the restaurant. And they told me that I could return the meal or replace the meal. So, that’s what I did. The mac n cheese was good but not baked or half-baked. The sweet potatoes were good but not as sweet as they use to be.

LOOKS ARE DECEIVING!!! FOOD IS HORRIBLE!!! The sauce on the rib tips taste like ketchup they tried to use the sauce to cover up the fact that they were old!! YAMS not sweet AT ALL!! I never got to get food cause I was informed that they don’t accept chime cash app and apple pay or tap pay! I’m from out of state truck driver and I was doing a live food audit on Facebook and I said hi and place my order then was told they didn’t accept my payment I asked why and cashier said that was their policy and I said ok. A guy came from the back and was saying something then I heard him say cause people leave then cancel payment and I was saying money ain’t real unless you got gold or silver, the cashier starts to say ain’t nobody going to bring golf and I was saying to a customer that I had been asking how the food was that if I send him a cash app that it was invisible money no more is exchanged or if I pay with a master card it’s all invisible and fake money! The guy from the kitchen was still saying that I don’t have to come back or something and I was telling him that he was rude and he could have said there is a tyme machine next door and could I go get cash and they would be happy to serve me. I told him not only was that rude to owner but me and Facebook live !

I must have messed around and went to the one on Warren and not 7 Mile! Bad mistake! I thought I was on the beach eating those greens. So much sand! I don’t know how I ended up on Warren road but 7 Mile is the spot! If you have a taste for soul food, and you stopped celebrating these pagan holidays: this is the place for you & Mie! We got the fried chicken from here. Very friendly staff and great service. The chicken was made to order, so it was very hot, juicy, and fresh. Sides were solid but the chicken was the best.

I have been a customer at Lape Soul Food on 7 Mile for year’s. Ms. Angie and staff always courteous, greet and treat you like family. The FOOD is always good and made with love. Highly recommend if you want great food at reasonable price. Sample of what I ordered today
