I have never been to a “Laos” eatery. So this was my first experience. It kind of reminded me of Thai food. I did not have a reservation but they were able to see me pretty quickly for dinner on a Saturday evening. They were also pretty busy, but was accommodating.

One of my favorite Laotian restaurants in D.C. that has a comfy interior and some delicious food. I highly recommend the Suki, a glass noodle seafood dish, and their Coconut Pandan cake for dessert. They have quite an extensive menu and be warned that some of the food is quite spicy.

Had an amazing time here! They always have fabulous gluten free and vegan/vegetarian options, even on their restaurant week menu. Ordered an amazing appetizer, entree and the restaurant week dessert was AMAZING!! Love coming here and can’t wait to come back!!

My first time trying Laotian food and it was delicious! The decor is beautiful both inside and especially their outdoor seating. Because of the heat we sat indoors but it was still a great vibe. I got the chicken curry which was delicious! It was spicy too which I loved. I also got the iced dalgona coffee which was a good balance of sweet without being too overpowering.

Such a cool spot with some incredible food! The inside has serious serious vibes and the patio would be fun if it weren’t so hot. Food was so fresh and packed with flavor! The lychee juice and Thai tea were perfect for a hot day, and the calamari was our favorite dish of the day! The chilis and basil with the sauce were heavenly. The sausages were interesting, very herbaceous , and the noodles were simple and fresh. Definitely coming back for more.

Traditional Lao flavors and excellent service. The items marked “spicy” were not overly spicy (in fact, they could have been more hot). I tried the ‘salad’ with crispy rice and sour sausage (I know this dish by the name “nam”), the fried rockfish, and the mango sticky rice. All outstanding!

My honest opinion. Michelin star restaurant did not deliver. I understand the time we went may have been during a dinner rush, but our server was nowhere to be found, and did not check in on us even once till it was time to pay. It felt like they were trying to get us out as fast as possible, keep in mind our drinks didn’t arrive till almost 10 minutes after our food … and the food literally tasted like it was made hours ago and it was microwaved, not at all fresh, especially the price given the portion! It was highly disappointing and ruined my experience. The only thing good were the drinks which is why I added extra star. Or else I would have given 0 if I could. Not at all recommended, an unassuming Thai restaurant serves better food at way better prices. Save your money.

Such wonderful service, from the hostess greeting you at the entrance to the waitstaff, everyone had great customer service skills and was very amenable. The restaurant is lovely, and they accommodated our group when it grew from 5 to 7 without issue. The variety in options for food was great. My dinner was delicious and well portioned. Would definitely return!

Atmosphere is outstanding and keeps your guessing. Fast service and food is amazing tasting and large portions. I enjoyed being close to people again. Apps were large enough to share with the table. Mains were large enough for the “meat & potatoes” members of my group. First time in DC in 25+ years. Makes me want to come back again.

Was definitely in the mood for some type of southeast Asian cuisine and this place did not disappoint. Service was prompt and friendly and I asked for a few recommendations since I wasn’t super hungry so I started with the spicy Kang Gai pulled chicken soup. The scent was strong but the taste was AMAZING. Then had the Khua Khao Nam. Loved how spicy it was. Plus I’ve never had “sour pork” fried rice but the taste and texture was tremendous. The cilantro and chili made it pop. Had to have Laotian beer to match. Everything was so good I didn’t even think to ask for a sauce to add to it.
