Checked out LA:ON in Cypress after hearing about it from a few friends, and it was definitely a solid spot. It’s self-serve with tablet ordering, easy to grab a table and get right into it. We got the cheese kimbap, pork cutlet kupbop, seafood green onion jeon, rosé tteokbokki, and ended with the Dubai chewy cookies. The pork cutlet kupbop was probably my favorite, filling and straight to the point. The seafood pancake was surprisingly well done, crispy on the edges but soft in the middle, and the Dubai chewy cookies were such a nice way to cap things off. Everything was fresh and hit that classic Korean street food comfort. Overall, it’s low-key, casual, and a dependable spot if you’re in North OC and want a solid Korean street food meal.

Great location to get your fill of Korean street food.

The restaurant is decorated so smartly and very clean. The service is good. You order at the table on a tablet and they come serve you. They do check on you a few times as well.

They offer some good deals for meals. And a BOGO 50% off deal on Wednesdays. They have lots of make yourself ramen choices and fun drinks. I especially like that you can customize your bowl orders.

The food comes out hot and tasty!

La:ON is such a hidden gem in Cypress! The vibe is fun and welcoming, the staff is so kind, and the food is incredible. I loved the bulgogi cupbop, the bulgogi kimbap, their DIY ramen, and the cheesy potato jeong—everything was flavorful and comforting. It’s rare to find a spot that feels this cozy and delicious. Can’t wait to come back!

The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish came out hot and beautifully presented. I really liked the pear slushee drink! In the restaurant, there are little activities you can do at the table as well. When dining in, there are tablets at the table to order on your own. The restaurant well represents their kstreet food with the kup-ades and hangang ramen.

Was around Buena Park area and saw this on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Ordered the Kombo 3 (spicy pork & spam Kimbob, Rose tteok-bokki, Fish cake), Fried Seaweed Rolls and Kimchi Jeon. I would say the foods are good and flavorful, just how they should be, nothing really stands out. The price is a little on the higher side. I would stop by there again if I am around that area and looking for a quick bite.

Such a great spot! The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was sooooo good!

We got a bit of everything Gimbap, tteokbokki, ramyun, dumplings, and some soju. Everything was so delicious and filling, the dumplings were juicy on the inside but crispy on the outside and the rosé tteokbokki was creamy and had a great flavor balance with perfectly cooked rice cakes. I got the spicy fish cake gimbap and my partner got the bulgogi gimbap both of which were amazing and they come with your choice of a dipping sauce which just elevated them even higher!

My favorite was definitely the ramyun bar though! You get to select your own and choose your toppings. The selection is top tier, with helpful indicators to show spice level. Then they have a little ramyun stove that cooks it! It was so fun and obviously the ramyun tasted AMAZING!

The staff was wonderful and so kind! The lady working there helped me with the ramyun machine giving me tips to make the perfect bowl and checking in on us to make sure we were having a great meal. Overall this is a great place to go to highly recommend for the novelty but also for the food and staff!

I feel like I need to connect more, I love Korean movies and I love mixed rice, mixed noodles here don’t seem to have it. I tried instant noodles and found them quite bland.
But looking at this dish, it’s rich, it could be the flavor mixed with rice or noodles that I saw in Korean movies. Too bad it’s in another place in the dish.

Craving Korean street food in OC? Look no further! Try @laon I had the chance to try their items this past week, and it did not disappoint!

We ordered:
1. Hangang Ramen (Buldalk Quattro Cheese) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
2. Tuna Kimbob ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
3. Pork Cutlet ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

They have a variety of different ramen that you’re able to cook and customized! You can choose what toppings you want, and basically control the flavor, softness of the noodles, etc. It was such a fun experience!

The Tuna Kimbob was also super delicious and incredibly filling. I love Kimbob, and I used to take some of my best friend’s all the time when she brought them for lunch at school. So this was soooo nostalgic ✨

The pork cutlet was also HUGE, for one, but it was also sooooo good and crispy. It’s definitely an item that I think is for sharing because I could not finish that myself.

Overall, if you’re craving authentic Korean style street food, this is the place to go!
