I think it’s one of the most authentic Chinese cuisine in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago, located in Skokie, IL! We’re there about 3 years ago and just went there again and it was still very good! The portion size is decent and the price went up approximately $3 for some of the dishes, which is not too bad! Service was great!

Dine in. Lunch special was great, huge portions, great quality. Will definitely be back. edited – Friendy staff. If you are reading this I have came back a few times since doing my original review, and this place does not disappoint. Food is great quality matched with quantity and great atmosphere. This place is worth it.

The food was excellent! I went with a few people that had low spicy tolerance so we ordered mainly from the non-spice chef recommendation section which was great! All dishes were awesome!! We literally loved everything we had. We ordered: Szechuan String bean, scallions pancakes, Xiao long bao, crispy shrimp with lemon sauce and tea smoked duck.

We were lucky to find this gem on line, read the reviews and decided to try it since we were in Skokie.

Their food is spectacular! I used to order from them all the time and finally decided to pay a visit and go to eat in the restaurant. Place looks cool, modern and warm. Before we ordered we got complimentary “spicy cabbage”, we couldn’t stop eating it! It was so fresh with perfect amount of oil, but very spicy, what we liked! We ordered few entrees and appetizers to share all at once! Fried rice is perfect, not to greasy with lots of fresh veggies. Salt and pepper squid is amazing dish, that we can never skip, not fried too much, salty enough, but not too much.. Also never trued dry szechuan sausage, reminded us of European dried pork sausage, but Chinese is more spiced and salty! We love food from this place, but service could do bit better as other people mentioned, nothing negative to say about it, but nothing positive either. All in all 5/5 place!

Party of three had lunch specials yesterday. Nice enough place although there are not many booths. Not crowded and plenty of staff. Server spoke broken English. Good value for the special (soup, appetizer plus entree). The surprise of the day was the Crispy Shrimp with Lemon Sauce; it was the best shrimp dish I have ever had in an Asian restaurant. Good Crab Rangoon and Potstickers also; skip the Spring Roll. Shrimp with Lobster Sauce was just fair or the review would have been higher. Did not see handicapped parking or curb-free access, although there are several close parking spaces in the strip mall. Tea is served in large mugs instead of a pot with small cups, although it had a great aroma and tasted good. Wine list was OK.

The best Sze Chuan restaurant I’ve had the pleasure of eating at. The huge menu makes it hard to choose what to get – a lovely problem to have when everything is delicious. My wife and I favor the hot-pots, though we haven’t tried a dish that we didn’t like. We prefer spicy food (which they do very well), though there are options for little to no spice if you’re sensitive.

Not a fan of the Dry Chilli Chicken. Basically dry fried chicken cubes with cut up hot pepper for $14.95. Dry chicken doesn’t make much sense, and I’d recommend something with a sauce instead. I’m sure other food options would taste better, but this food wasn’t good, but I still will give 3 stars because the restaurant is clean, service is nice and fast, but I’m assuming I made the wrong choice of food.

My dad chose this restaurant to celebrate his 94th birthday based on his wonderful experience at the 500 N. Michigan Avenue location. While that was an elegant, beautiful and quiet restaurant, this was like dining in a Greyhound Bus terminal. There were so many loud families – yelling children, crying babies, and NO sound baffling whatsoever. The decor wasn’t anything special.

Super inconsistent in there food. One day food tastes good. The next day food is terrible. Do your chefs change from day to day and week day to week end? Cause it is significantly noticeable. I get food prices have gone up, but now you are skimping from one day to the next? Orders filled to about half the tray. This is not Ok. I get there are many mitigating factors, but get your stuff straight. One day the food will be a 7 amd the next day the same food becomes a 3 at best.
