We love Chengdu hotpot and have been wanting to try Lao Ma Tou since we heard they were opening one in Bellevue. The taste was amazingly authentic! It brought back so many memories from our trip to Chengdu with all of the full flavor goodness. All of the ingredients we ordered were fresh and there was a lot of variety to choose from (the beef tripe trio, marinated beef, and pickle chili beef were our favorites). Their sauce bar is great too with ingredients like pickled herb chili that I didn’t see in any other hotpot places we have tried around Seattle area, the cucumber salad and chicken feet were made fresh and some of the best we have tasted. Nice ambiance, good location and helpful staff. We are so glad to have found our new favorite hotpot spot in Bellevue!

New hot pot spot in Bellevue! Place looked nice and had friendly service. We got the hot spicy broth and the pork bone broth. Wasn’t the best broth I had and unfortunately was way too spicy. Seems like little sheep is the only hot spicy broth I can handle. Anyways the food came out and it was okay. Quality wasn’t really there. I’d even say Liuyishou, Chengdu memory, haidilao, dolar shop, little sheep, pips mountain are better. I don’t think I’d come back taking in price to account for too.

This hotpot restaurant deserves a solid 5 stars! From the moment we stepped in, the friendly staff made us feel welcome. The menu had a fantastic variety of fresh ingredients, and the broths, whether spicy or savory, were bursting with flavor. The attentive service and cozy ambiance rounded off a perfect dining experience. Highly recommended!

With 6 adults and 3 kids, we ordered over $400 of food, LOL. all the dishes are very fresh and with a good amount and the black pepper pork stomach soup base is good to drink before we put anything in it. However just a little downside on the spicy soup base, not flavorful enough just plain spicy.
