Lanna Thai is owned and operated by the Singard family from Chaing Rai Thailand. Chaing Rai is the Northern part of Thailand, also known as the “Golden Triangle” where Thailand Laos and Burma meet. We have years of experience working at a few Thai restaurants in the South Bay Area, before opening Lanna Thai. We’ve worked in the hospitality industry in Thailand for many years. Our family is responsible for the overall interior design for Lanna Thai, where it displays some of our own original art work. Our chef attended several culinary schools in Thailand. Our kitchen staff has over 20 years of Thai cooking experience, and have perfected some of the classic Thai dishes available on our menu.
Stylish eatery with original art on the walls serving Thai standards along with a vegetarian menu.

Some potential considerations:
– Portion sizes are small for the cost. A $20 dish can potentially not be enough to satisfy one person. My party of two has a moderate to low appetite, and we finished food that totaled $45. However I think the average 2-party group will need to spend more.
– Some foods are very sweet. For us, beef salad was very sweet. Consider asking the chef to use less sauce or sugar.
Must haves yellow chicken curry & prawn pad thai enjoy!
Tom Yum soup was our favorite based on other review recommendation. We even loved the Pad Thai that we ordered. Basil fried rice was on spicier side but we liked the heat, perfect to cool off with the classic Thai ice tea!
The food was decent. However the entree of garlic shrimp came out first and all alone oh, just waiting to get cold. Then came the Tom kha lukewarm, too sweet soup. Next came the appetizer of satay, while the garlic crispy shrimp are getting colder. Last, the Red Dragon and finally rice.
The woman with an attitude added to the ambiance of the dining room by hand sweeping with a little brush into constantly banging the dustpan. Annoying as all get-out. we observed other diners be treated rudely and without consideration. Seems like the takeout business is good and with such bad service, one can understand well you wouldn’t want to be subjected to that kind of treatment and pay for it.
What a messed up dinner presented buy servers who didn’t care and shouldn’t be anywhere near a customer.
Will for sure come back!
Ok wrote the review and this was without talking about their customized boba drinks – we got A couple of those!
