The Shabadoo seemed like an interesting menu item, and it did not disappoint. Coupled with cheesecake and a friendly staff, this place is a NW Iowa gem.

Absolutely has to be the best food in iowa! I travel all over the US for work and they serve the best hamburger steak I’ve ever eaten and the best baked beans known to man! The owner is very nice he makes sure to stop by every table and talk to everyone and make sure everything is up to par. This is how a restaurant/bar is supposed to be run! Majority of the waitresses are very friendly. Very enjoyable dining experience

Great stop on our ride. We wanted to order food, but we had other plans. Looked awesome. Beer was cold and nice staff. It would be nice if the bar had some stickers for patrons. Lot of people collecting these now. We will be back on one of our next rides north.

Stopped for lunch ~12:15 on a Friday. Cafe and lounge located in the same building so the B&G isn’t big; bar holds 12-14, half dozen booths, a few high tops, and a few tables. It wasn’t super busy, but it was raining.

DARK. Blinds were pulled on the few windows it has. Billed as a sports bar, so it didn’t bother me…just sayin’. Modern decor and CLEAN. Comfy. I could easily spend the day here during football season.

Decent beer assortment for the non-___ Light crowd. $4 short was little pricey ($7.50 tall), but both Blue Moons came with a nice thick orange slice.

The menus shown here must be outdated; prices are $1-$2 higher, and the selection is a little different. The poppers (now $8 I think) were tiny, not spicy, and should have been on a smaller plate. That said, they were way yummy. Add a couple more, drop them back to $6.50, and I’d get them again in a heartbeat.

The burger (can’t remember what it was called, but it had prime rib slices on it ) was really good. Didn’t skimp on cheese or toppings. They list the bun as “gourmet”, which must be an inside joke as it is a $2/doz white store-bought bun…maybe don’t mention it on the menu. Healthy order of onion rings must be homemade and were terrific.

The stars of the show were the staff. 2 working were very friendly and attentive.

I wanted a not-fast-food burger, cold beer, and to chill out before the drive home. I got it in spades. It’s a little spendy but the food, space, and service are worth it.

Just wow, the food was amazing. I tried the prime rib, and it doesn’t disappoint, and on top of that, the queso mac and cheese is amazing the only thing that was a little confusing is arriving there was no hostess desk or sign that says wait to be seated but once we figured it out it was amazing

I had the Nashville chicken, wife had a chicken wrap, and son had the bbq pork mac and cheese. Everything was excellent. They were swamped due to moving in dat at NCC and understaffed but the staff handled it like champs. Service was still good and wait time was likely not impacted bc our food came reasonably quick considering every table was full.

This was our first time at Langer’s. Have to say it was excellent. Had the Apple BBQ pork chops, all I can say is WOW! We are in the area often so we’ll return.

the smothered chicken breast is legitimately the best chicken i’ve ever had in my life. i could have eaten that meal three times a day for weeks on end. i just finished it and i am so sad it’s gone. i can’t wait to come back to iowa just so i can have that chicken again.

My husband and I are tuck drivers and we went in for a quick bite and ended up staying for quite a while. The food was awesome and the staff was nice and friendly. We met one of the owners and he was the bomb! They treated us like one of the regulars. We had and awesome time. Not to mention it was wing Wednesday. Yummy steak was cooked to perfection. Hope to be back soon
