This is a lovely place! Our server and everyone who helped us here were friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely delicious and well made. The beef tibs are the BEST and so flavorful. The atmosphere is very classy and high quality. You’ll enjoy your visit!

I ordered the Kitfo Special at Langano in Silver Spring, and was told they didn’t have kocho, which is normally included. I asked if they could offer a small discount or substitute something comparable, and the only option they gave me was regular bread. For a dish that’s supposed to be “special,” that was pretty disappointing.
It’s unfortunate because this place used to be packed back in the day. Now, on a Thursday at 6pm, the restaurant was completely empty… and honestly, experiences like this make you understand why. I really hope they improve their customer service and consistency, because the potential is there but right now, it’s just not the same Langano it used to be.

Wonderful experience at this restaurant last night . The food was top notch – exquisite flavors, and beautiful presentation. Our server was super attentive and sweet. I also enjoyed the general atmosphere as much as I did the food. The lighting, the artwork, and the music (including the large video screen), just made me feel completely transported to some wonderful other land. Outstanding experience, I’m excited to go back!

This is the most beautiful and clean Habesha restaurant I’ve ever been to in the United States.
This is like a 1st class fine dining type of an environment, with amazing fine dining and great service. I’ve had better food before, but the food was still delicous. If you want a clean and beautiful atmosphere, I highly recommend Langano White Oak. PS try the Siga Sambusa, a little pricey but very very delicious!

I’ve visited this restaurant multiple times, and they truly never disappoint. This last visit, our server Saron was incredibly kind, patient, and professional. She made adjustments to our meal options without hesitation and was so accommodating the entire time. Honestly, the whole staff is always warm and welcoming, which is one of the main reasons I keep coming back.
The food is always flavorful, fresh, and beautifully seasoned. They’re also great about handling dietary restrictions—I’m sensitive to dairy and certain meats, and they always find a way to make sure I have options that work for me.
The only very minor thing I noticed was a small mix-up with a sambusa order, which I think was just a communication hiccup between the kitchen and the front staff—but it didn’t take away from the overall experience at all.
Overall, this restaurant remains one of my favorites. Every visit feels consistent, delicious, and genuinely enjoyable. I highly recommend it!

First time in a long while since I had Ethiopian food and this place didn’t disappoint.
Called and ordered for pick up. (20 minutes)
The online menu via cellphone was a scrolling adventure; however, it provided good descriptions if you’re not familiar with the food.
The spice level was mild.
The staff were very nice.
Plenty of parking, in strip mall/shopping plaza.

I will be visiting from Toronto shortly, and I would like to invite this restaurant A A. I gave it a try. Even I couldn’t enjoy such delicious and tasty food in Ethiopia, oh my god. I loved the food at the Langano Restaurant in Washington, DC, and I was there for Ethiopian New Year.

The food is ALWAYS amazing. They never fail to satisfy me. And the staff so damn kind and respectful. Even the customers that were there previous are always kind everytime I go.
